If you want a great quality machine that helps put you back into the perfect shape for summer, this is it. The machine would be easier to assemble if it had more detailed directions, but either way its not a difficult assembly process. Learning how to use it properly is pretty self explanatory, but just in case i looked up videos online to make sure I was working out properly. The storage is a hassel seeing as only the arms fold in and it is pretty heavy. Other than that it's a great workout.

This product is so solid, easy to set up and a great price. In very little space, you get a great workout and you can adjust the tension for more challenge. I like that it simulates rowing a boat, unlike the big gym machines. It's a wonderful alternative for exercise when the weather has been so unpredictable for walking. I have so enjoyed this little practical rower. One challenge is my sneakers slip off the foot plates. You need solid shoes/sneakers when you use it. My feet would stay in place if the heel had a raised edge. A little tape on my heels has solved that challenge.

I use the rowing machine while watching TV. It is a great full body work-out, especially for the arms and upper back. It does not strain the lower back. The only thing I didn't like was that one of the plastic screws came off, but the company was quick to send me a replacement arm for it (since I couldn't replace the screw) at no extra charge. [...]

It is a good piece of equipment. The biggest con is that it can only be used by people under 220 lbs. My husband, who is trying to loose weight, is above that and can't use it yet. Otherwise it's a good workout!

Better rowing action then at the gym
By FORMER fan of the big gym rowing machine from Arizona on 1/2/2008
Describe Yourself:
Former gym rowing fan, High End Shopper, Into Fitness, Practical
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I am so pleased with this rowing machine. The only exercise I truly enjoyed was on the rowing machine at the gym. This machine is better! The rowing action is nicer then the big machines. It has a nice smooth 'hydraulic feel' and the motion is more realistic to real rowing. The one down side is that they put the knobs where the feet go and that is clumsy. Rowing is considered one of the most all-inclusive types of exercise, both for cardio and weight-resistence. This machine makes it convenient now to get the benifits at home.

while this is definitely foldable, it's pretty heavy and not very practical to drag in and out of a closet each day. It's now in our attic where I go to use it. The directions to put the machine together were OK (not great, but I figured it out), there actually weren't directions on how to use it. Since I've never gone rowing, it wasn't intuitive. I went to a sporting goods store to get a demo of one of their machines to learn how to use. I wouldn't buy this again

Pros:
Decent indoor workout
Cons:
Awkward movement of parts
Best Uses:
Getting Into Shape
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
The rower is a decent, if not noisy, piece of equipment for working out in your home. I think it satisfactory in comparison to running outside in the snow during the winter, but the design is something that can be improved upon. The movements seem a little unnatural but this improves once you get used to it. Overall, decent for a piece of home gym equipment, but I really expected it to be better than it is. As for storage, the rowing arms fold in, but it doesn't get much more compact than that.

This is a perfect item if you are having problems with your knees. Since I am overweight, I needed something that was not taxing on my knees, and this was the most sensible exercise equipment to get. The best part is I don't have to wait for someone to finish using the rower as I did in a gym. In the beginning it was touch and go, but I kept with it and I must say I am enjoying myself.

While I feel I got a great workout I broke two of these machines. I had about 7000 strokes on each unit when the welds that hold the front legs and rowing arms broke.
