I've given two of these chillers as gifts and both recipients complained that if they weren't ready to drink the wine when it reached the proper temp, the beeper just kept on forever. Needs to have a way to turn the beeper off and leave the wine in the chiller until guests are ready to drink it.l

Found that red wines apparently should be served a lot cooler than I thought. Sometimes takes awhile to cool whites from room temp.

Nice design, looks great on kitchen counter. Place whites and reds in refrig' for awhile prior to using to speed up the chilling / right temp adjustment..

I purchased this as a present for my brother & sister-in-law. They loved it!! I do agree with the others that for the chilling part it does take a long time. As for the warming of your wine it is perfect. They said it was perfect for that use and made the wine taste awesome. All in all they love using it.

I was excited to receive this as a Christmas gift, as I had given one to someone else, and thought I would love to have one. I was anxious to see how well it worked, and used a Chardonnay from my wine cabinet as the test bottle. It was found to be at a room temp of 70 degrees, and needed to chill to a recommnded 47 degrees. It took close to an HOUR for this bottle to cool to 47 degrees. It had been advertised to chill in 25 minutes. I really could have cooled it quicker by chilling it in an ice bucket or the freezer. It's best use may be to keep a bottle chilled, while it is open.

I shopped around before ordering and believe it was the best value for the money.
I agree that the marketing of this product is a bit off-- It doesn't take "just minutes" to chill a white. A bottle of chardonnay took about 45 minutes for me. I can't complain too much since I got this as a gift, but I don't think I'd recommend it to a friend. As stated previously, though, it is a fun accessory to have at parties as it is a real conversation starter.

Our son and daughter-in-law are redoing their home and drink wine every night at dinner. This was a perfect gift for them. They used it immediately and were thrilled with it. It's easy to use. Our other wine chiller doesn't control the temperature, and the ice water inside makes the outside of metal container sweat and drip.

Works great and extremely easy to use. Only thing I have noticed is that it takes really long to try and get to the "cooler" temperatures - 40 or so. Other than that, pretty good product for the price.

I bought this item for my husband's birthday and we absolutely love it. The only thing negative about it is that it can take quite a while to chill some wines - but once they are at the right temp, they are excellent. It's amazing how much more we enjoy a bottle of wine when it's at the exact right temp! In fact, we bought two as gifts this past Christmas and have heard from both the reciepients that they love it as well.

This is a really wonderful little machine. Looks good, doesn't take up a lot of counter space and is easy to use.
I would agree that it performs best for maintaining a white wine's temperature as opposed to chilling it. It seems to take a while to dip below 50 degrees F. Chilling isn't a problem for reds as most of them should be served in the high 50's to low (or mid) 60's.
All-in-all a very nice addition to my bar set. We have friends over and serve wine frequently. I'm glad I have it.

Maintains pre-chilled white wines well. However, when using it with red wines that are a bit warmer like Cabernet at 64°F the device reaches 64° sits for a moment, then starts a warming cycle, overshoots, then cools again, lapsing into an endless cycle of temperature instability in which it cools and then heats.

The wine actually tastes better when it is served at the right temp. This is much better than an ice bucket or cold keeper.

I put a wine wine in the unit and after a couple of hours it still wasn't to the right temperature. The advertisement is misleading. They make you think it will cool quickly to the right temperature. Not true with a white wine. Don't buy it if you are trying to cool white wine from room temperature. It could take hours. If you are just doing reds....then its fine.

I like the overall concept of this chiller. It looks great and is easy to use. I liked it because you can choose your type of wine and it cools or warms it to the perfect temp. However, you do need to plan ahead, because it does not chill very fast. I would say it is the only drawback, I wish it worked faster. Another minor thing I could say is that it would be helpful if you also had the option of choosing a specific temp. instead of wine type.

This is the perfect gift for a rough day at the office. I come home put in a bottle to chill, and by the time I am out of the shower I have a nice chilled bottle of wine waiting for me.
The wine chiller is one of the best items that I have ever bought. It's usefullness is apparent for situations that don't even involve wine. You can use it to cool down everything from beer to soda, I even used it on a burnt hand once. Good price for something that has usefulness in spades.

This is a great product for MAINTAINING a wine's serving temperature - not for cooling it. It works with red wines out of a cellar (here it will "warm" up the wine from the 50's F). I would agree with the reviewer that said it took a long time to chill a bottle of white. Don't lose the insulating sleeve. I did and it cost [$] to replace - which is absurd. The product does not work well without it.

Good product that does what it says. Decent database but could use a customizing feature. Takes a while to chill to the lower temperatures.
Like the other reviewer said, it takes way too long to chill white wines. I'd hate to even consider a bottle of champagne. Good for reds, though.
