I bought three of these to use on shelves in two rooms. I did not want a cord hanging down the wall, but the room needed a little light on the wall. I like the design of these the best of all the battery operated lights I saw. I am disapointed in the bulb. It really has an orange glow. Although, I considered returning them, I have not and they do look nice on the wall.

[...] Don't believe everything you read, folks. These bulbs DO NOT last the incredible 3000 hours or whatever they boast on the webpage. Two months and mine are finished. Pity. I'm going back to electric lights so my candles can be seen from the road.
My husband bought eight of these candle lights for me for Christmas. They DO NOT burn bright and the batterys do not last long. I am very disappointed

The quality and appearance of the candle is excellent but the light becomes dim in less than 2 weeks. Photo sensors work well but the sensitivity levels are not all the same. These are the best battery powered photo sensitive candles I have found.

Light needs to be brighter. At times it doesn't light when it should and go off when it should. otherwise, it is attractive.

I had been looking for years for a permanent window candle that would look good on a very old home and yet be easy to use. I have had these for 2 months and they look great and have only gone through one set of batteries. It is so nice not to have the wires that that is a small trade off.

I purchased these window candles because they were battery operated and therefore there would be no unsightly electric cords hanging from the window sills. Unfortunately, illumination was very dim.

We tried using corded candles on our windows but they were too inconvenient (twisted cords, extension cords needed, turning on and off each one or setting each on timer, candles off-balance because of the cords). These LED standalone candles fit perfectly on our sills and they can be left to turn on at dusk and off at dawn (though on cloudy days, they remain on). Super convenient. No hassle. We've had them on our windows for over a month & batteries are working still. If you want 'white' candles lights though, beware that these give off a yellow glow.

Great decoration for the windows during Holiday and through the Winter. Come on at dusk go off at daylight. Provide lighting when entering dark room.

I purchased these candles to replace the electric candles that I was using in my windows at Christmastime. The candles are not as bright as the electric candles, but the convenience of not having to turn them on and off surpasses the brightness. They do actually look like real candle light. And they are a quality piece. The only drawback is that the batteries only last about 2 1/2 weeks.

Wonderful decoration for the holidays and beyond. Without the hazard of a 'real' candle, these are wonderful. They flicker and come on automatically. These 'candles' are kind on batteries too...still using the ones I put in almost a month ago.

The newest installment of LED technology rests attractively on the bathroom window. The bulb radiates a soft, golden-orange glow that is just the right intensity for the nighttime mood and occasion. The cordless design eliminates most knock-over worries. Photo-sensor for the brass design could be a little more stronger-the colored candle reduces its effectiveness somewhat compared to the white, pewter one.

the dusk to dawn feature is great, no need to plug in and out. they really served my purpose, only wish that the light was brighter. however, i'd recomend them and purchase them again for myself

Although there are good points that will keep me from replacing these candles, the bottom line is that the light is too dim and also yellow. I prefer bright white light in the windows instead. Now to the good points. The bulbs stay cool so that they can be kept underneath shades. Also, the light sensors are very convenient. The battery consumption is excellent - I did not have to change the batteries once in the 4 weeks I had them up. If bright white light is not your goal, then I would recommend these. If bright white light is your goal, skip these.

I love the look of candles in the windows especially during t he holidays and these were great because I didn't have to remember to turn them on and off. Also, I have an older home without a lot of electrical outlets so its very handy to have them be battery operated. My only reservations about these candles were that they didn't seem to give off enough light and I would have preferred a white light to a yellow one.

It was great not to have to run extension cords to the windows and then set timers which never turn on at the same time. The lights were worry free. When we move again we will consider buying more.

I have 4 windows in my kitchen, and before these, I had 4 cords covering my counter space from the window to the outlets which was unsightly! Now I only have the candles which are doing their job. In addition, one of my bathrooms doesn't have a handy outlet by the window so this was my only alternative. These are perfect for both scenarios!

They work easily and are maintenance free once placed on the windowsill. They do not get hot and will not burn blinds, people, or pets. From the street they are smaller and less bright than we would have liked.

I wanted some outside lighting for our Christmas decorations and these candles not only added outside lighting but inside as well. There was no turning them on and off -- they were automatic. They worked great!

Christmas window light in kitchen. Cat ate thru cord and zapped herself last year. Was attempting to pull candle down and eat cord again.
No fire hazard. No cat hazard. No broken glass.
On minus side bulb does not burn very brightly at all. Only glows as compared to the other plug in lights still in use.

In an older house, with relatively few outlets, I used to have extension cords stretched all over the place to put candles in every window. These solved that problem, plus I didn't have to run around and turn on candles every day. Win-win.

The candles are attractive and work as promised. Unfortunately, the lights are so dim, they are even difficult to see from outdoors. If you want them to add atmosphere to a dimly lit room, they are fine, but they don't compete with other window candles I have used.

These window candles look very good. We use them as 'welcome lights', not as Christmas decorations. The base is a very nice quality, compared to other cordless candles I've seen. The base is a little large for our window sills, but are manageable. The sensors don't do very well on a cloudy day, so they remain on most of the day. As a result, you have to change the batteries every 2 weeks. Also, the flame is a little too orange. I would have liked a white light. Overall, they give a nice, understated look to the window.

I put these candles in the windows of my house where I did not have an outlet nearby. They are great because they go on and off themselves, but as compared to ones I got that plug in, the lights are much dimmer. I did not want ones that I had to switch on and off myself...nine windows--that would not happen each night/morning! So, I'd rather have dimmer ones than ones I'd never switch on!

I purchased the candles because there were no cords to have to plug in each nite which could be bothersome. My only complaint was that I wish that the lights on the candles were brighter. They were very very dull. I would recommend to a friend, but caution them as to the dullness of the light.

GREAT Product!! The LED candles have been placed in the windows at the front and sides of my home (back not visible). They give a wonderfully gentle and warm affect to my Christmas lighting. We had been looking for holiday window candles for a very long time. We needed something without cords and for whatever reason, these are hard to find. These were just what we were looking for. They are well made and look great. The only down fall is that they go through batteries pretty quickly. If you wanted to go around and shut them off in the morning, that probably wouldn't be an issue, but since they are LED light sensor, I just let them go all day long. I would buy these again.

The candle are nice, the bulbs seem to last quite a while, but they aren't very bright. If they were brighter bulbs I'd definitely rate them higher.
