An outdoor motion detector light is a bright security idea.
It’s like having a watchdog on duty all night! The motion sensor triggers the light and remains on for up to 60 seconds to illuminate your way when you come home…or to alert you of something outside. Solar motion lights stay on as long as movement is detected, automatically shutting off 30 to 60 seconds after motion stops.
Solar motion lights convert sunlight into security.

I have mounted this light on a detached shed. It performs as advertised and I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of light it supplies. As supplied, I believe it is made to mount flat on a wall on the south side of a building. I had to build a mount for the solar panel so I could place the light under the eaves on the north side of a building. The unit would be better designed if the mount and light were separate. Once installed it has worked great. The sensitivity is good, and small animals (raccoons, squirrels, and even deer) do not seem to set it off. For some reason, whenever there is strong rain the unit will come on, but only briefly. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a solar exterior light.
I was quite impressed with the amount of light and the distance of the motion sensor. This light is not as bright as a standard big wattage electrical flood lamp (I knew from reading not to expect that) but I use it as a security light on the front of a 2 car garage / beside my home. It's really done a good job of lighting up a dark driveway area. The light also is seems to charge well even on cloudy days. It has supassed my expectations. After seeing it in action my neighbor is now looking into purchasing one.
Great for dark areas.
it is used for home security
When I got the small solar panel in the right location (directly facing south), this light is extremely reliable. The problem is that the cord between the panel and fisture is too short, making it tough to optimize the positioning of the solar panel and the placement of the light at the same time. Right now my light is in a less-than-ideal location because of where I need the solar panel to be. An optional longer cord (and I mean looooong), would be a fantastic addition to this great product.
