Good value for a small to medium room to fight winter dryness and keep from getting sick. Works well and has good tank capacity, but as the directions say, weekly maintenance (cleaning) is a must, especially if you have hard water. Would definitely buy again.

I wanted a system I could put in the bedrooms to increase the humidity. I have found that people dont clean and sanitize their machines often enough so I wanted one that was killed off the germs. The mineral cleaning pads are also very important since my town has heavy water and otherwise I would destroy the system in a year.

Wanted warm mist that would not be complicated to clean. This is very simple to clean & with the addition of the germ killing light, I dont have to worry about spreading bacteria.

Unless my unit is defective, it doesn't really mist...it boils the water so the mist is not very heavy.

We have one humidifier in the front room where we have a wood burning stove that dries the air. The other one moves from bedroom to living area for my 94 year old Dad who needs moisture in the air to breathe more easily because of emphysema.
We purchased and gave humidifiers as presents: 2 for my son's family house, 1 for a friend, 1 for my daughter-in-law's grandmother. Everyone likes the humidifier. I'm a college Biology professor and I tell my students about this humidifier.

I love this humidifier. I love to run it while I sleep because it hydrates my skin and relaxes me. I sometimes add a little essential oil, e.g. lavender, to create a soothing atmosphere. The unit is quiet and doesn't disturb me while I sleep. As a bonus it kills germs and sanitizes my bedroom.

We love this humidifier. It is quiet and has a large capacity. We like the 2 different tanks because they are easy to fill without being too heavy. I would definately recommend this humidifier. We have 3 in our house (our bedroom, kids bedroom and living room).
Returned the product after 1 use...it leaks and leaves a white permanent stain on carpet or table top. [...] Steer clear of this one.
