This product really works. If we have to spend the night away from home the difference in the quality of sleep is noticeable. We actually pack the ionizer up and take it with us if we are going to be out of town for more than a couple of days.

This unit is very quiet and seems to work well. The filter can be cleaned in the dishwasher - a nice option, but it is tough to dry the filter afterwards. We have found that it is easiest to dry the filter by using a hair dryer.

Guys,
This is, by far, one of my most favorite products ever built. This is the only purifier i have ever used that actually helped reduce breathing problems i encountered regularly. The only problem i find is that I cannot sleep with it on, or in other words, have the pure-ion on for more than a few minutes as it begins to noticeably dry up my room while cleaning the air. please improve upon that issue and i would blindly give it a solid five !

I love how sleek this product is. It's a good size, and yet not obtrusive in the room. I appreciate the various settings which allow me to control the noise in the room, too. I know others have said this, but you really can "smell" the cleaner air in the room. It's amazing how quickly that happens. I'm very pleased with the product.

My son came home from college and while he was gone he developed allergies to our cats. We were not getting rid of the cats, so we had to find an alternative. We purchased the Ionizer and put it in the Living Room. The first day, it needed to be cleaned. At first, it didn't look dirty at all, that is, until it was washed! WOW! Amazing how gray the water was.
Within a few days, my son's allergy symptoms had eased greatly. My husband and I also noticed relief from allergy eyes due to pollen and mold.
We've noticed there's less dust on the furniture.
It's EASY to clean. The interior unit pops right out, rinse, allow to dry and voila - back up and running. We have it on 80% and it really moves the air - nice in the summer.
The only downside, is it needs a clearance of 24" behind the unit. We put it in a corner of the room.
My parents bought this for me as a gift and I really love it. Although I hear it at the highest setting, it's not obnoxious. It looks nice and is relatively compact (given how well it works). Overall, it has done an amazing job of removing the dust from the air of my Los Angeles apartment.
I don't know that I would have bought it for myself originally given the price. But at this point, knowing what I know, I would buy one if I didn't own one.

This air purifier is worth the cost. I find that it cleans and cools the air with its fan at the same time. However, the filter is a bit more difficult to clean compared to some other air purifiers in the market. It's also not the most innovative design, but it's a good quality machine and does the job right.

The only reason I did not give this item 5 stars was because it doesn't filter out viruses. It does filter out bacteria and everything else though. I highly reccommend!

We live in a 100 year old home, and with two cats. That means that try as we might, there is always dust or cat dander in the air. We had an earlier version for three years before it finally died (my fault, I damaged the ion screen), and it worked wonders in the bedroom. We tried the Ionosphere brand afte that (bought at BJ's), because it was much cheaper, but we got what we paid for... died after less than 6 months. This new one does not swivel from side to side as the old one did, meaning it takes slightly less floor space, and does not drive my cats nuts. Cleaning is even easier, in that the filters simply lift out the top, and can now even go into the dishwasher.

I use this product to clear the air so that I no longer get coughing attacks from pollutants at home or at the office. Helps with house dust.

I bought this air purifier because my son was recently diagnosed with Asthma. It does a good job cleaning the air. The only drawback is that I find the filter hard to clean. It is too large for my dishwasher, so I clean it in the sink. It is supposed to only take 6 hours to air dry, but it actually took 3 days to air dry for me. Next time, I will try to dry it with a hair dryer.

I have been in the heating and air conditioning industry for 20 years. I have looked high and low for air cleaners and did much research. This is by far one of the best stand alone units available. I just purchased our second unit and love it. I recommend this unit to all my clients. I also included a service plan, well worth the money....

This is a great product, and I have already noticed a difference in the air quality of my home. I have asthma and indoor/outdoor allergies, and this product has been a remarkable help. It has reduced the need for frequent nebulizer treatments, and even lowered allergy symptoms. A bonus is that there is "woosh" noise that's very soft and lulls me to sleep. Some may find this irritating, but I like it quite a bit.

I bought two of these - they were pretty expensive, but I got one at half price. I use one in my bedroom and one in the den to clean allegans out of the air. They do seem to be helping to control my allergy symptoms.

I use this 24/7 and can actually smell clean air. However, it acts like a fan and blows very cold air and can be a little noisy in the bedroom or if quiet in living room can definitely hear it. I just bought them and I am still getting used to them. Overall, so far so good

Filter easy to clean. Never have to buy a replacement filter. Smoked filled room a challenge but it does improve the conditions.

With all the bad press on ozone air purifiers I am surprized brookstone would build a new unit that still produces it I ended up returning it.

I absolutely love my Pure-Ion Advanced Air Cleaner! I live in a one bedroom apartment and the cleaner cleans my entire space. I have three cats who sleep with me at night, and their fur and dander ends up in my bed! I wake up each morning after using the Pure-Ion Advanced Air Cleaner feeling refreshed and breathing clearly.
