might as well spend the $$ to buy a larger room type unit.
As an allergic asthmatic I suffer most in the springtime but any time I am in the office I am miserable. There is so much paper dust and printer ink dust in the air my eyes are constantly red and itchy and I start sneezing the minute I arrive. I can only take so much medicine before I get too groggy to function and am a danger if driving. I have had a desktop air filter from another manufacturer in the office for years with only minimal help due to the size of the room. I decided to try the personal size filter and I must say I am very pleased. It doesn't matter how big the room because my personal space is taken care of no matter where I am. I cut down on my medication and have a clear head. Because of it's size most people think i just have a cell phone, pager or Ipod around my neck. I have 3 of these; one at work, one in the car and one in my purse and I am getting 3 more to give as gifts. What a wonderful product that really lives up to it's advertizement. Don't ever stop making this.

I am a poker player who hates the stale air in a casino. I travel with this product everywhere I go. It has exceeded my expectations. It makes a tremendous difference.

It replaced a Sharper Image air purifier and is smaller, lighter and more comfortable. I used it on one international trip so far so I can't speak as to long use yet.

In long air travels this product has avoided flu from other passengers.
it is a handy thing,not heavy at all.i bought one for my father and he has found relief against certain irritants like smoke,dust or strong smells.i doubt though, if he will have same results in environments having significant pollutants. the batteries are what i am not sure about. only the one that came originally with the product lasted the time promised.
I bought this for my daughter who came to visit at Thanksgiving. I have a cat and when she visited before, she was always miserable with suffy nose, difficult breathing, and watery eyes. This Thanksgiving, she sailed through without any symptoms. She feels that she can visit more often now that we have found a solution to a long standing problem. I will now be able to see my grandchildren more often, too!
As a home healh nurse, I am in a variety of homes working with multi disease processes. I feel greater confidence (wearing this product) in negating certain exposures.It is a great addition to handwashing which we all know is the number one preventive to contamination! I love this product so much that I just purchased my co-worker RN one as a birthday present and mother recieved one for Mother's Day!! Give the gift of improved health!!!

This is a great device. Although not a medical device, I can breath easier when I wear it. I suffer from chronic depression and negative ions once absorbed into my body improves my moods. It fights smells to certain extent. It is ozone safe! Other ionizers produce too much ozone (smog), which then can trigger an asthma attack. This one has not triggered my asthma (although I am not claiming that it is not possible). The quantity of negative ions produced should be from low to just about right. Too many negative ions can have adverse effects such as dizziness, sleepiness, laziness, and headaches if excessive. This device is intended to clean air that is fairly clean already. If the air is excessively contaminated with pollutants, then a N95 rated mask is probably a more appropriate solution. A negative is that the carbon fiber brushes are not user replaceable. These will wear out by corona discharge.

I was working in a casino and the smoke made my asthma act up. With this product that was not as big a problem. It was recommended to me by one of my co-workers and I recommended it to others. Great product.

I recently took a trip overseas and wore this the whole time. I normally get very sick on planes and had no trouble at all on this 13 hour flight. Also, I was in many smoke filled rooms and only had one asthma attack. Cons: The one asthma attack I had occured 12 days into the trip when the battery unexpectedly died. This was well short of the 40 days promised. Also the blue indicator light is very difficult to see when you are in bright lighting.

As someone who travels by plane and trains frequently and until recently was always sick upon arrival, I highly recommend this product to everyone! Have someone who is a frequent traveler and looking for a gift? This is perfect! Not only is the air purifier quiet it's also not heavy to have around your neck.
