Thought this would be the answer to the plastic reels that the box stores sell. Not so. Bought this about 1-2 years ago. So called powder coat paint is peeling off and metal is rusting badly. Chrome parts started rusting the first year. Not sure how much longer it will last unless I do a major overhaul. Does a good job of holding the hose, but way over priced for the lack of quality. Quality does not meet the description of Industrial grade.

I keep buying larger and larger reels to hold multiple sets of hose for my large yard. Thought this 300ft capacity would do the trick. Not bad. It's convenient, easy to use. Would be better if it had a tracking guide so I wouldn't have to lay the hose down in rows as I wind. Tough to do both at one time. You don't HAVE to do this, as the reel will hold all of the hose. But I'm a neatnik and like it wound neatly. Had the reel now for about 6 months. It has stayed outside the entire time. The chrome parts are rusting. Not happy about that. Guess I'll have to get some Rustoleum. Painted parts so far so good. No leaks.

I have owned several brands of hose carts, all of which either fell apart early on or were difficult to use. These are well built and easy to use and to move about. I have a small vegetable garden and a 2 and 1/2 acre lawn. These devices make it much easier to water than dragging hoses or using flimsy hose carts.

You can get this hose cart, or a similar one, from other purveyors but you cannot get it at a better price. This is the best deal I've found. It is very well-built and sturdy. It's also easier to use than a 2-wheel model on uneven ground. Of course, you will find it wears better if you protect it from the elements. Sun takes a toll if you leave it unprotected for too long.

We have owned 3 other makes from other manufacturers that have fallen apart in one season. This is built to last, very durable, the winding motion is easy to use and does not require a great deal of strength. It is also balanced very well and easy to push or pull through the lawn. We have a large lawn and to water our flower beds was a chore, but with the right tool it is now easy and a pleasure. As a result we now water regularly.

I have a lot of hose. The many plastic and rickity metal models I have owned in the past just couldn't take it. This one is substantial enough to take the weight of the hose and not travel all over the place while reeling. Too soon to tell about weather resistance, but so far so good.

Exterior of cart does not withstand elements. After one season, it looks like a piece of rusty junk. In addition, the weld on the connection device between feeder hose and hose reel developed a serious leak and I now have "old faithful" whenever water is turned on (with very little pressure on the business end of the hose.)Certainly not in keeping with expected [...] quality.
