i have 2 of these it works great in savannah ga where it gets the weather signal properly. in brunswick ga it doesn't pick up the signal and i don't think i should have to pay [$]monthly to get the correct signal for that area..that is not right

This looks like it belongs on the fridge. The size is perfect and the info is accurate. I get a strong signal in the kitchen so it's always being updated. The clock is always right &I can rely on it to make sure my others are correct. But the forecast part really is PERFECT. I don't have to wait for a weather report. Just a quick glance at this will do. And it's constantly being updated. A bit pricey, but WORTH IT!!

This is a great item if you live near a big city. I live about 8 miles north of Detroit and it gives me the weather in Detroit. However, it also gives me the weather in Grand Rapids MI, Indianapolis IND, South Bend IND, and Fort Wayne IND none of which are anywhere close to me. To get closer service you need to pay a premium price, so if you live in or near a "big" city, this is for you. If you live in the "boonies", forget it.

We check out the weather forecaster every morning before getting ready for work and various times during the day. It helps us to know what to wear, if we need to bring an umbrella, and what (if any) outdoor activities we can do for 5 days(grilling, outdoor chores, etc.). The pictures make it fun and it's nice that it has the time too. What's great is that it doesn't have TOO much information on there. It's basic and easy. The only thing I see that could be better is the fact that when the weather changes during the day (rainy to sunny), the picture doesn't change with it. I guess that's not how it works though.

I purchased this for a gift for my boss. It is kept in the office so I get to "use" it as well. It takes up very little room, and is very accurate at predicting the weather. Just put in the batteries and that's it!!
Unfortunately after purchasing this item our zip code was removed from the coverage area - so our service is currently very spotty (updates perhaps every 3 days). Make sure your area is covered before taking it home!!!

This receiver receives feeds from Accu-Weather. It provides the opportunity for you to receive data from up to five free weather locations in your general area. If you wish to receive data tailored to where you exactly live, then you can subscribe to their service. If you have a stainless steel refrigerator, such as ours, then all you need to do is attach a Velcro patch to the back of the unit. Otherwise it has a strong magnet already built-in that adheres strongly to metal surfaces.

This is the fourth one I bought... first two were gifts for my Dad and Aunt... I loved theirs so much I got for myself and now I bought this one for my in-laws anniversary gift. Awesome display of the weather whenever you want to look at it! I keep mine on the fridge. I always zone out during the morning forecast and this is acurate and available to me 24/7 at a glance. This device is great. I simply glance at it in the morning and I know all that I need to know about the day's (or next few days')weather. I don't bother with the TV weather channel or weather websites any more.

I live in a condo and run early in the morning. The thermometer helps me to figure out what kind of clothes I need to run in. It also helps me figure out what to wear to work, etc. I love it because I don't have to turn on the infernal TV and wait through interminable commercials to get a weather report. It's simple and accurate.

This thermometer was on the side of our refrigerator, reading the 5 day weather forecast within 5 minutes of it being pulled out of the box! Super easy instructions made it effortless to have it up and running. I just love the fact that there are no messy wires or another detachable part that needed to be set outside a window in order for it to read the outdoor temperature. The five day forecast has been right on the money and we just love it- Now we need another for our weekend home!

I love the fact that it can be attached by magnet, stand or on the wall with a nail.
Also includes SFO, OAK, SAC, SJC weather along with RNO (Reno). Very easy to take with me on trips and it will sync up to local weather wherever I head...
The latest purchase was for a relative, but the weather wasn't local to their area so they may not keep it... time will tell.

I'm still having trouble with this product. I'm in the process on exchaning it for another one. Mine doesn't work! I know that its not the location b/c I've tried it in several covered areas. It just constantly cycles. [...] My parents and grandparents have this product and they love it! I can't wait to get my replacement so that I can really use it. The price was a little steep, but it is a nice product.

It's good if you live near a major metro area. I sent it to my Dad who lives about 60 miles north of Seattle, and that is the nearest major city, so his weather is a little off, but he likes it for the most part. He uses it to see what the weather will be like for fishing.

I find it great that we can get a general idea of what the weather is going to be at a glance for the following five days. It is quite accurate, but I do wish that it pertained more to my area instead of Raleigh, which is 35 miles away.
