I bought this as a gift for my mom who wanted a simple pedometer that she could wear all day and easily track her progress. This works great! I helped her set it up and it's very easy to use. The only thing that I would like to see changed is the metal clip is right over the battery compartment which makes it difficult to open and close it. It's a little bigger than some of the other newer pedometers offered and each button has more than one function, so adding just another button or two would help simplify each button's use.

I would recommend this product even though I had to send it back for an exchange. After you figure it out and set the controls, you just forget about it. I use it to keep me walking because a medical condition slows me down and it makes me feel like I am achieving something. I find myself parking far away from the store door just to add to my steps! I like the voice telling me "2,000 steps" when I'm getting in line at the store and people look around quizically!

I purchased this item for a friend of mines as a Christmas present. She has 2 kids and doesn't really have that much time to work out. She was enthused about receiving the item, as she had mentioned before during a conversation of ours that she would like to purchase a pedometer. She ranted about how easy it was to initially set up, along the compactness of the item. Overall it's a win in my book and I would recommend this item to anyone that's into fitness and electronics.

Thank goodness for the talking feature as the labels on the buttons are too small to read when it is at your waist. There is no way to turn the pedometer off when not in use; a waste of the battery. However, it does the job of counting steps, giving calories burned, stating how far you've walked, and the number of minutes gone by.

Talking Pedometer, A Winner!

Cons:

Best Uses:

I have gone through at least six pedometers. I found that inexpensive pedometers tend to give you inflated step counts and are not durable. The belt clip is heavy duty and secures the pedometer to your clothing or belt without the danger of it falling off. This quality pedometer is worth its selling price.

I recently purchased your Talking Pedometer [...]. I've been very disappointed. It's so sensitive that it tracks the tiniest movements of my leg and it's embarrassing to walk around with its loud click at every movement. There must be a better option. I want something I can wear all day (including at work) and when I'm sitting in meeting and my knee starts bouncing and all of a sudden clicking coincides with each bounce it's hard to ignore. Do you have any ideas? Thanks

As someone always on the go, I wanted a pedometer to give me some idea of how much I was actually walking or running. I went through several different products, from reputable sporting goods stores, that seemed very cheap in most every way. I decided to try the pedometer from [...] because it had all the great features I was looking for, with a great clip to attatch to clothing. It has outlasted all the others and I find it to be the most accurate, easy to use, and comfortable!
