Great idea and a lot of fun.
Guys, always make sure you warm up first.
Also, don't try to throw your fastest pitch until your shoulder is strong and loose.
Not as accurate as pro radar gun but good enough to give you an idea of relative speed differential between say, your fastball and change-up or slider.

Our whole family are baseball fans. This ball allows old and young alike to test their own skill and prowess during family gatherings. When the battery wears out the thrill is over but it is a good time while it lasts.

The kids use the baseball at practice to see how fast they can throw. They enjoy seeing the speed of their pitch. The only thing is that the digital display needs to be a little bigger to read.
Works great!!! Lots of fun!!!

My husband and sons had a lot of fun with this gift. The radar works well (or as close as we rookies can tell). The cover does wear like any basic ball, some scuffs and dirt marks. But we figure it just shows it's happily played with!

I bought this for my brother-in-law to use with my two little nephews. He'll use it to not only help them in learning to throw better, but so that they can track their performance!

its all good but i mean like no one is willing to catch a 50 mph fastball and isnt that the point of the ball. What you need is a very soft pillow or something and throw it as hard as you can at it.

I gave this to my nephew who is in 7th grade. He is the pitcher on his Babe Ruth team and he really liked the gift. The only problem is that at home he can't throw it fast enough because no one is willing to catch it at speeds approaching 60MPH. He is really enjoying it however.
