It works well, however it does clog easily if you suck up the larger chunks of wood ash. It vacuums the small ash well, but the larger ash pieces are hard to see until they get sucked in and stuck. Maybe a larger hose would be easier.

The vacuum is great, but was a little disappointed with the tool kit. I was expecting more "bells and whistles" but what we got was just the couple of basic attachments.
