    Very attractive table that really was not that difficult to assemble. Thank goodness the elevating mechanism was already together, even the instructions for that looked daunting. The storage space is less than I expected, but I adjusted what I stored in the table.

    Received only a one-page instruction sheet. Access to a couple of the screws made assembly challeging. Later downloaded a more complete assembly instructions off Brookstone web site. Wish I had it sooner. Now that it's together, we love it. It is a handsome piece with lots of storage and functionality.

    I can only say that it is a good thing that I am trained to repair 25 million dollar F-16's. The instructions (1 sheet with no text) make a very good example of how NOT to market an assemble-it-yourself product. The workmanship also suffered, holes not drilled deep enough and slight mis-alignments. All of this detracts from what would otherwise be a very nice product

    I was very disappointed in the product for several reasons. It is basically a big storage box and cheap piece of furniture (over-priced for what it is especially when you have to assemble it yourself). The height of the lift up top is higher than my dining table and much higher than my couch and all 3 living room chairs. It is way too high to be useful in the raised position which is the main reason why I wanted it. The doors do not fit very well and there were no magnetic pieces as mentioned by others. It is a pretty cheap piece of furniture but might work well for a student as a multi-purpose piece of inexpensive furniture. I do like the storage capacity but that is the only thing. If you plan to use it to dine or use a laptop, you will need very very high seating in order to use it.

    I really love this table, it only had two flaws. One, when it arrived it looked like it had been through the roverbial war. There were a lot of knicks and scratches and small pieces gouged out of the table, luckily none of these were located anywhere that showed once it was assembled. Second, when the table is extended so that it is higher it was too high for our couch, so make sure that you check the height of the table fully extended against the height of your couch or other seating you plan to use with it first.

    There were no door magnets included with this table so the 4 doors are constantly opening and will not stay shut. I don't know if the lack of magnets is intentional but I called customer service and they sent me 1 magnet that does not seem to be for my table and are now in the process of sending,hopefully,the 4 magnets that I think should have been included in the initial package.
    I hope that the magnets that are being sent out are the right ones and then I will be happy with my purchase

    While this table is everything I hoped for, it was a nightmare to assemble! We were short-changed necessary parts (dowels) and the screws in the pre-assembled pieces fell out during shipment. My Husband is an excellent handyman and can fix anything, but even he struggled!
