I use the table at the couch for my laptop. Since the couch is a recliner, it doesn't tuck under all the way. So be sure to check under your funiture to see if the legs will fit under it.
Still works great. Glad I bought it.

I bought this tray table for my Dad and he finds is exceptionally useful. The mechanism for folding the tables up and down is solid, but the table it self is rather wobbly. I found it so annoying that I actually drilled two more holes to install a lower bar to stabilize the two legs more effectively.
Also, the rubberized bottom doesn't slide so well on hardwood (which is good and bad, I suppose).

This table has no height adjustment, for those of us that are short (I'm 5'4"). So for me to be able to use it at all, it must be set at a severe angle sloped down toward me. Placing an expensive laptop at such a steep angle is a bit unnerving. Also, the "horizontal" setting is not truly horizontal, i.e. it's a bit off, and there seems to be no way to adjust this. Most importantly, the table arrived with a missing drill hole in a metal part needed for proper assembly.

Great product, received exactly as pictured. I use the folding table as a laptop stand by the couch. I bought the one from brookstone because it looked as if it had the best quality product. There are a bunch of others that look to be cheaply constructed, and are plastic. The only flaw I can mention is that it could use a bar across the bottom at the bend to keep the legs parallel and sturdy when repositioning the table. Thanks.

I use this tray just about every day for my laptop. When I'm working from home or watching tv/reading/organizing computer files. It's much better than holding my comp on my lap - it heats up and moves around too much! A few things I really wish were different about it are: it would be great if it had little wheels, it's hard to slide away and I think I'm bending one of the legs - also it would suit me much better if it were more adjustable. In full upright position it's about 3" too tall for me - in slanted position it's too tight. It would be good to be able to adjust the height of the legs maybe... overall I'm pretty pleased.

I am happy with the size and functionality of this product.
I am not not happy with the desktop itself. Both this model and the rolling draft/desk unit have knicks in the wood. I tried filling in with "wood markers," and now see dark spots, i.e. attention is drawn to flaws.
I use both units as extra work space, when we are over booked in our office.

This is designed well and has an attractive appearance. It cozies up to any furniture you would sit on that has legs. I like the adjustable tilt. Unfortunately the tray top is made of cheap composite with a flimsy coating, can't even call it veneer. Mine arrived with many scratches & one corner was crunched, with the coating chipped off. The cross support bar had machining marks that scratched through the finish. None of this could have happened during shipping because the box was in good shape. Very disappointing. Quality of materials are very lacking. Legs are difficult to keep straight and in alignment sometimes. All parts are completely wrapped in bubble wrap, yet when received, there were many scratches and rubbed/worn edges on the finish. Luckily, I'm just using it as a work/hobby table so I was able to get over the scratches and wearing/rubbing of the edges. It' just not worth the time to return and get a new one.

Good Idea, but the height adjustment did not sit level when in the flat position (90 Degrees). The table actually set higher up then feasibly possible to type and therefore, not very ergonomically designed even in the lower positions. Also, if this was height adjustable it would be a great little accessory. This one needs to go back to the drawing board it is very close to perfect, but “Does Not Hit the Mark”. Unfortunately, I had to send this product back

Looked like a quality version of the white plastic as-seen-on-tv adjustable tv tray. While easy to assemble, it's not particularly well made e.g. legs are out of alignment so the table top isn't leveled. Was also disappointed that it requires significant clearance and won't slide under most furniture I have, making it of little use to me. I'll be giving it to a friend who has furniture clearance and we'll see if it it works well as a laptop table.
