Eliminates clutters
I love this organizer. I am a neat nic & this is great. The only thing, I wish it was one tier higher. The space I have does not allow for an additional unit on top but, one more row would do the trick.
Love it!
Kids shoes, Hats, gloves!
We are using our 3 multi-bin organizers to unclutter the pile-up at our back door. Once we put the first one together, it was not difficult to assemble the others. It does help to have two people when assembling these bins.
This product delivers exactly what it states. It was easy to put together and appears pretty sturdy. The cubbies are a great size for the kids' stuff and mine but not quite big enough for my husband's size 13's. Over all I would definitely recommend and would purchase again. I am thinking of buying three more for toy storage in our just finished basement.
The multi-bin organizers have made our entryway clutter free! We can locate our many pairs of shoes and boots without having to dig through the box we were using. It also provides space on top for plants and the units are attractive.
I've been searching for shelves like these for months and found nothing comparable.
I have never written a product review before but felt I had to write this one. I have been looking for something for years to clean up the clutter of shoes, small toys, and lunch boxes that always seemed to crowd my kitchen floor. I found this organizer in a Brookstone catalog and really liked it. I was hesitant to make such a purchase online but I read some reviews and thought I'd take a chance. [...] my husband put it together in no time and we have it in the corner of our kitchen. I love not tripping over little shoes, toys, etc. The kids now know that when they come in they put their shoes and lunch boxes in a cubby. This product is wonderful and I am so happy I bought it!!
Great product for kids' shoes...though for adult shoes, it's a bit of a struggle.
I bought the organizer and assemble it all by myself... and I have to say that I am not handy at all. It looks great and it's fantastic for organizing. Easy to clean, nice construction.
Great way to keep shoes and all the kids extra stuff in one place. Looks great. Easy to clean and saves a ton of space. I want a few more!!!
It is a space saver, and convenient near the basement entry for winter gloves, hats, etc,.
The openings are a bit tight for adult shoes.
ONce together it is pretty sturdy, though not the easiest thing to put together if not handy.
I own a yarn store and these are perfect displays.

I bought two organizers for our den to organize the kids' toys. It is great b/c our kids can see what they have. Clean-up is easier b/c they actually enjoy putting stuff back in the bins! Keeps the mess off the floor.
I needed a better way to store all my small pieces of material.
The smaller size cubbies work better and are less messy than the milk crates I used to use.
these cubies were very easy to put together.
but I did need a philips screw driver.
the directions were easy to follow.
It would help if there was an extra cam as one got
it's threads messed and I couldn't screw the screw into it.and of course the hardware store doesn't carry that size.
I use it to store gym equipment, such as jump ropes, weights for barbells, running weights, etc. I was surprised that it was sturdy enough to hold the 5 and 10 pound weights (in the lower racks). I only wish it had slightly larger spaces in all three dimensions. Altogether a good product that met my needs.
Of course, who likes to assemble anything ? but worth it after assembly. (Tip: Pay your preteen son $10 to assemble and it is done)
I looked at numerous shoe storage units before finding this one. This is by far the most efficient and best quality.
Office, kitchen, utility room, there's a use everywhere. It's also great for sorting things out.
I am a knitter and have lots of left over yarn. This is a great way to store it. I can see what I have and it looks nice, too.
These were a bit tough to put together--the first one took me a hour, the second was quicker. The directions were good--it was just time consuming. Once up, they look nice--they do not look like I assembled them.
I did think they seemed pricey, but I looked around for about two months and did not find anything I liked for less.
Great for shoe storage, and other small items. A space saver.
I have the organizer placed by a door in the laundry room. It holds shoes along with a few miscellaneous items. It's a great way to maintain an organized and clean space.
The Multi-bin organizer was very helpful in alleviating piles of "stuff" that tend to accumulate on and around my husband's desk. My one suggestion for improvement would be to widen the bins a bit so 8 1/2 by 11 papers fit (without bending, that is). The shelf is very sturdy. Don't be frightened by the number of pieces when you open the box--the directions are clear and it's easy to assemble.
We use these in teh mud room for shoes, hats, etc... They do a good job of organizing our stuff. Easy to put together and looks good enough.
My husband uses this in the family room behind his recliner to store computer related items, cleaner, cords, CDs, DVDs, etc. Now they are not stacked on the floor and it's much easier to vacuum. They are also close at hand.
For visitors at the cabin, they never lose their car keys or cell phones anymore as they each choose a cubby space for that.
This is perfect for a magazine rack. It will also be nice to be a toy/book storage for the kid's room, but I won, so not it sits in my bathroom.
To store and organize items near the front door
works great to organize and gather all those little things the kids normally would leave on floor or just throw anywhere
Good amount of stroage in a small space. Also, cubbies keep things organized. The only thing that would make it perfect would be adjustable cubbies, but I haven't seen any product that does that yet. Overal good solid construction.
I use the multi-bin organizer for magazine and file storage in my bedroom and entryway. The entryway organizer also features compact umbrellas and the like.
It is much more attractive than the milk crates and rolling file trays it replaced. Multi-bin organizers are compact and present an orderly appearance. I used several colors of pastel file folders to enhance its look when filled.
The organizers are compact and fit neatly into my bedroom and entryway.
I recommend it for organizing items that are approximately letter size or smaller.
It took concentration and a good hour to put this unit together, but at least they provided ample hardware for the job. One tip: when inserting the flat head cam locks, make sure you insert the blank side first so the end with the groove is facing outward. You may need to adjust those cam locks several times when inserting the screws, which won't go all the way in unless the cam locks are perfectly aligned. Once finished, the unit looks really nice. My only annoyance was all the white particles of foam that clung to the unit from the packaging.
This storage unit has helped us keep the clutter off the floor. :] No more towering books, missing shoes or seasonal accessories flying around the house -- hooray!!
It works great in my office to help organize all those difficult items that I use to find on my desk.
Its easy to put together and is made and looks great. I would buy this product again.
It is precisely as described. Rather expensive, but I couldn't find anything comparable at a lower price. I bought a second one that was very badly handled for [$] at a Brookstone Outlet and it also is serving its purpose very well although it won't survive being moved too many times.
this was perfect for the closet in my mudroom, now its very organized and all the shoes are in a cubby with nothing on the floor!
I bought this to use in our playroom for smaller toys that end up in the bottom of the toybox - like legos, cars, little action figures, etc. I wanted something similar to the cheesy, poorly made bin organizers you see in toy stores and large discount stores, but wanted something more durable and nicer to look at [...] I must say that even though it ended up smaller than it looks online once it was put together, it does look very nice and does the job I intended it to do. My biggest complaint is the "wood". Of course, this is not solid wood, it's some kind of veneer, but it is heavy and well made, but the backing on it is so flimsy it's not much better than balsa wood. I wish the back would have been made of the same material as the rest of the shelf. I'd have even paid a little extra for that. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase and will likely buy another one for further organization projects.
[...]. Very sturdy product but for the price it was not aesthetically pleasing. It has 12 areas which are visible but slightly on the inside of the bins which have screws that are seen without screw covers. Because of the unusual size, screw covers do not fit that area either. For the price I think all hardware should be hidden from view.
Ideal for closet shoe storage, specially shoes in daily use. Occupies very little space. Easy to keep clean. Two people required for assembly, instructions were lengthy and not too clear. All in all a very useful product for organizing shoes and loose bits and pieces.
I needed a good storage solution to effectively use the empty space under the existing shelves in my food pantry. I store vegetables in the multi-bin organizer. Everything is sorted, organized, and easy to find. I plan to buy another organizer for the other wall in my pantry.
it took numerous pairs of shoes that were lying around.....and now they are organized right where we want them...perfect
I looked everywhere for a decent looking, solid storage organizer for the entryway by the back door. Something to store shoes, hats, gloves, etc. I have a 1 year old that would pull all of our shoes off our open shoe rack, and I was tired of looking at all the clutter on the floor, tables, etc. I got two of these bins and put them side by side -- using the bottom two rows for shoes and the top row for hats/gloves/etc. It's great! No more clutter, everything has a "place", and my 1 year old pulls the shoes out fall less frequently (each bin has a "lip" so things stay inside nicely). I like that it can be added to if you need more storage. It's quite heavy and sturdy. And, it looks great. The day after we assembled it, friends came over and commented on it. On the downside, the bins are a little small for adult male shoes, and you can only fit boots on the top row. My husband's shoe do fit, but one needs to go in sideways. Would be nice if each bin was a little wider. And, while assembly was fairly easy, it does take about an hour a bin, so plan some time. I thought it was a bit on the expensive side compared to what else I saw because I got two, but honestly, I'm really happy with the purchase and would highly recommend it -- more versatile and better looking than any others I saw, and I definitely looked all over!
This piece is perfect for the entryway and solved our 'pile of shoes' problem in the kitchen.
I purchased this storage unit after wanting it for over 2 years!! I thought it was too pricey, but eventually caved and bought it anyways - because I never found another one similar for the need I had for it. None of the other storage bins I found looked as nice, and I wanted it for my entryway / mudroom, where we'd need to store some shoes, hats, gloves, scarves, mittens, sunglasses, etc. It's perfect! I want MORE of them now... because they are so useful and very nice looking. Everyone comments on it and asks where I found it. I like all the colors, but we went with the mahogany. It looks very rich, and it's built sturdy. I took my time putting it together by myself - and it took about 2 hours (while watching some TV) or so. It's very well made and I had no trouble putting it together or following the instructions. I'd definitely buy more. They would work great in a living room / play room / kids room for toys. I also like the idea of using it in your kitchen for displaying items, etc... but I think I might just clutter it up if it were in my kitchen! I'm so happy I bought it, and will be saving up for more.
I bought this to organize all of our shoes in our utility room. For having a family of 5, I was pleased with it. We also use 2 compartments for hats and gloves. This does a great job of organizing and having everything within view but not messy looking.
I use this multi-bin organizer (MBO) to keep back numbers of magazines that I want to have available.
It fits the space and decor of my bedroom perfectly. It holds the magazines perfectly - they appear very orderly. The MBO looks even better than in the catalog or online illustration.
I can't really think of a drawback, but it does require assembly.
Product is being used in a foyer for shoe storage.
It looks quite nice and keeps the area tidy.
The rich woodgrain look blends with my furnishings. The bins are large enough to store our shoes.

Just assembled the product today, so my impressions are fresh. Overall, I think I'll like the unit--I need something to organize shoes in my entryway & this'll fit the bill. As others have noted, the unit is smaller than it looks in the catalog. For the price, I expected a MUCH easier assembly. And when assembling, I'd keep it on its side til it's time to attach the front lip pieces; otherwise, when you go to lay it on its back so you can tighten one of the cam locks underneath the bottom shelf, most of the 20+ dowels you've just spent so much time inserting will all fall out. Also, the dowels' circumference is significantly less than that of the holes into which they go, which means they fall out easily -- maddening, because there are a total of 44 of them. I'd recommend, as the instructions do, having someone (calm and patient) around to help you.

Awesome for capturing children's shoes in the busy entry way. LOVE IT! However, my 11 year old is now wearing men's sized shoes and they barely fit. Each bin should be just a couple inches wider.
I bought this for my entry for hats, gloves, and other small items (don't buy it if you're looking for larger item storage). My husband put it together (very easy) and from then on, it was his. He uses it to separate the various types of forms he works with and now has his own mini-mailbox. Is the perfect height to go next to the sofa instead of an end table. I will be ordering one for me; maybe even another one for my husband!
Good product that does exactly what we needed -- gets shoes off the floor and into neat bins.
Heavy, need to secure to wall if you have kids.

We use for kids toys, only small ones fit but it does keep the mess off the floor and it makes it easy to put stuff away. However, you need to secure to the wall as little ones can tip it over and it is quite heavy.
Planned to use it in the entryway for hats and scarves. My husband put it together and that was the end of my chance to use it. He loves it! It is next to his favorite chair. The top is his end table--perfect height for drinks, small lamp. He uses the bins as he goes through all the mail, professional and personal and separates the pieces immediately without having to go through it a second time. It is one of his most efficient storage solutions and now I have to order another one! The finish is also very nice and doesn't look prefab. (If you're looking for something to hold kids' toys and larger items, the bins are too small).
Was a little complicated to put together [...] but it fits nicely in the space that we have at our entryway, and looks clean and neat.
We use it in the master bedroom walk in closet. It looks nice, but doesn't hold as much as the wire bin organizer it replaced.
Bought to store shoes and dog supplies by back door. Looks cheap, and bins aren't big enough for men's shoes. (OK for women's and kids') Will probably move it to the garage when I find something nicer looking to replace it.
Just what I was looking for. Organized my yarn.
It is a great organizer for my boots and shoes. I wish that is was easier to assemble and had more compartments. Also, I thought that the item was too pricy.
This product does look bigger in the catalog. We were surprised of its smaller size, but after assembling two of them we liked the size and felt that we would like to get several more of them.
I USE THE PRODUCT TO ORGANIZE MY FAMILIES SHOES. IT LOOKS GREAT BECAUSE IT MATCHES ROOM DECOR.
I use this in the utility room to store shoes, boots, hats and mittens for the grand kids.
