works with all the meats. Once in a while the readings stick and you hae to wait for it to shut down. Needs a manual shut off. can't wait the two minutes when the meat is slimost done when it sticks.

I've always wanted one of these and finally splurged and got myself one. The prongs that you stick into the meat are so big that I felt like I was leaving gaping holes and it is bulky to store in a drawer but other than that, it works great. I like that it has settings for the different types of meat and it has an automatic shut off and remembers what you used it for last. For the money, it's quite high end.

I really like the "reading" area that lights, very easy to read, and it seems pretty accurate so far. There's a bar that goes up with the level of doneness. This is the 3rd different one that I've bought (other stores), and FINALLY found a keeper! LOVE IT!

I purchased the Digital Fork Meat Thermometer for the summer; however, it was used during the holiday season. I gave this to my husband for Christmas, He was thrilled and used it on our very large beef sirloin roast for our Christmas dinner. the temp read is a little slower than other thermometers i've used (by a few seconds), but since your hand is so far from the flames, it doesnt matter.
