I ordered this clock/weather station to see the weather without turning on the TV. Its great to be able to glance at it and know both the time and the weather. Both features are auto-setting and I was glad to have the clock remind me of daylight-savings time by changing itself over.
The two downsides are it only comes as a wall-hanging clock, there is no easel back to stand it on a shelf, and it only comes gray. Tan or black would fit more people's home decors.

I liked this clock and weather forecaster because 1) showed 5 days of weather, 2) constantly updated, 3) was wireless (didn't need thermometer stuck on window), 4) gave accurate information if you live in major city (otherwise you need subscription service to get weather for a specific zip code.) I do wish it showed the date.
We live in a fairly large community with an airport (Peoria, Illinois)...but, the nearest city that the satellite picks up is 60 miles away...therefore, the forecasting is not accurate for our community. I am returning this item because of this...I would highly recommend it to someone who lives nearer to one of the weather station locations.

This sits on my desk at home. It's great for getting a quick weather update. Very reliable.

When we started ours up, it told us that the nearest reporting was in Louisiana and gave us several towns in LA to choose from. We tried that for a few days and found that the weather there didn't even resemble the actual weather we were having so we had to pay a monthly fee to sign up for forecasting in our area. Now that we are paying the fee, it seems pretty accurate. I suggest that you [...] see if your town is on their list of free reporting before you buy this, if you (like my husband) resent having to pay an additional fee to get accurate weather reports.

It is great that it provides you with the current weather/Temp and for the next five days. I sometimes don't get a chance or time to see what the weather is going to be for the day and now I can get that in seconds. I just love it.....

Talk about being grateful for finding something to give to a brother and sister-in-law for Christmas who have most everything; this item WOW'D them ... as they fought over who was going to insert the batteries and where to place their new TOY in their home .... THANKS BROOKSTONE!!!!
Disappointing that you must pay a monthly fee [$]to get actual local data (your zip code). Nearest standard location is >50 miles away so local temps differ as can forecasts. Only 5 standard locations. So, virtually everyone needs to pay the monthly fee or get "approximate" data.

My husband was a Weather Channel addict. Our television used to stay on the Weather Channel all day long and it was very annoying. This product has eliminated the need for that -- thank you!

Is nice to know the weather before you go to bed to decide on your wardrobe for the next day. It is also nice to verify the weather upon arising. I like to sleep until the last second and when I have my clothes read at night, there is one less thing to do in the morning.
It's also a great conversation piece.

With in minutes the unit was collecting data and displaying weather in surrounding areas. Every morning my wife would turn on the Weather Channel and study it like an almanac. Now it’s just a quick glimpse and out the door we go! I love how it displays the various weather conditions with various icons that easily show weather condition. Changing to other near by areas is a snap as well. The problem I have is she has decided to move it to her office! I’m sure I will be ordering a second one soon!

I bought this for a christmas gift for someone who is always asking about the weather forcast. I had to try it out before wrapping it, and I was very pleased. Strong signal, fast updating, and a full 5-day forcast. It doesn't get any better than this.

Clock is legible & easily readable from all points in my office. The weather icons frequently spark conversation with even my quietest clients. A nice icebreaker for new contacts.

Overall great stuff, nice large fonts, easy to read. When you first put in the batteries, it can take up to 1 hour for the clock to get the times etc. It's a bit of a wait but it's only 1 time when u change batteries.
