I was upset when the bank told me what I had to do to get rid of my change that I had done nothing with for 3 years. The other option of 7 cents on the dollar seemed high to me to use the machine at the grocery store.... so another organizational tool for the wife!
Works good if you don't jam a mountain of change down its throat. If you stay on top of sorting everyday should have no problems.
We have still not found the correct wrappers to go into the tubes. We are still using the cheep tubes from the dollar store, the extra step is no big sacrifice to get your change sorted and counted.
It is tricky to figure out exactly how many coins need to go into a wrapper the first time.

I just love the coin counter! Now whenever we have spare change, we just put it in the top and let the machine count it! No more hours spent counting coins and hand rolling! Or paying every time to have change rolled by other machines! It is so much better!

Good-looking enough to leave out on a desk and works very well. I had a couple of coins jam, but they clear easily and I've rolled about 20 rolls of coins so far. The tubes make it easy to get the coins into the paper rolls. Very handy product for keeping all the loose change around the house organized.

This product is fabulous! I love the design. It blends into the living room so easily. It looks like a piece of art. I have several wooden sculptures and the wood just blends so easily with our environment. I love the drawer. I use it to hold keys and bills when I come home from work. I also love the little spot in the back to capture the excess change. When I first used it I was trying to figure out what it did when the coin holder was full. I thought the machine would stop, but the coins just fell to the back. This is a very nice product and is a great gift.

It occasionally drops the coins in at an angle

The coin collector is attractive and solid enough for my purposes. It sorts the coins well. I was disappointed that it does not have a way to know when the sorted coins are the right number for a roll of coins. I have to take them out and count them before putting them in a wrapper. The sorter allows you to put a wrapper in the collection sleeve, but it does not count the coins, so you would need to take them out of the wrapper again to count them accurately. It's not much of a time saver, but it does have me putting all of my coins in one convenient place.

It looks beautiful and functions well. It's disappointing how the expensive wood coin sorter doesn't come with 100 coin wrappers, but the inexpensive non-wood one does. The best wrappers are the ones that are pre-formed, as they slip right into the coin tubes. The flat wrappers are more difficult to deal with because they can't be pre-inserted into the tubes; however, with practice one can insert them into the coin tubes after the coins have sorted. The extra drawer is nice for organizing, and the wood looks and feels sturdy.

Excellent for turning pocket change into cash for special events. The clear stacking cylinders make counting coins easy and greatly facilitate the coin wrapping process which can be tedious. Since this sorts and stacks your coins daily you do the coin wrapping one or two stacks at a time which is more convenient than a lengthy wrapping party.

I bought this for my husband as an upgrade to our current plastic version after he redid our closet recently. So far it's does it's job well, and certainly looks nicer- from experience with these things their key issues are clogging when you put too many coins at once; and some are easier to clear than others- haven't had enough use to comment on that but it looks like the better design

This coin bank accurately separates coins into stacks with ease. All you have to do is slip the wrapppers on and you're done. Saves a lot of time counting and sorting and it looks nice. This product handles daily coins easily. For a large volumn, it is slow to operate and mixes up the coins so you have to monitor the sorting. I would also recommend/wish it had a recharger or outlet plug rather battery operation alone. Otherwise it does a fine job!

This coin sorter is attractive to leave out on desk or dresser. However, it jams easily, puts coins into wrong slots 60% of the time, and frequently spins without releasing the coins for up to 2 mintues! It has caused my husband and I much frustration and we spend so much time attempting different amounts of coins (1 at a time, 5 at a time, 10, handful, but the problems listed above are not remedied by these changes) In the end, we dump out the coin holders and sort them ourselves by hand. It takes MUCH longer to get them sorted correctly with this machine than it does to sort them by hand ourselves. Frustrating!! Am planning on returned it ASAP.
Bought one a year ago -- works great. Good looking and well built. Now buying another as a gift.

I received this as a Xmas gift 2006. A nice gift while it lasted. The tray was very difficult to remove and now the motor does not work. So it is pretty useless now.

Handles coins better than cheaper sorters. Rarely jams up and overflow drawer is nice.
