This is really a wonderful product. Works well outdoors and is easy to connect to your existing stereo.
Great system. My wife got this for me for my birthday and I use it all the time in the backyard and on the deck. Very easy to use and sound quality is great even through a brick wall. Only downside is that sound quality gets a bit distorted at very high volumes (e.g. during large gatherings).
When I heard about this speaker, I have to admit I was skeptical but I thought it was worth a try. Now, I have to say I’m impressed. It does what they say it will do. I had a bid for [$] to add outdoor speakers around my pool, but I wasn’t sure that I wanted music everywhere all the time. With this speaker I can set it in the area where I will be and the sound is great. Two of them will probably cover the whole backyard, so I think I’m even going to buy a second one!

Water resistant
Very versatile, I use it on the patio, bathroom, garage, take it to the park. Hook it up to my ipod, laptop, tv, xm, main stereo, you name it. I don't have a stereo on my second floor so I take it up there and can listen to the same audio around the entire house.

We first used this wirelessly, and had some trouble with the sound breaking up (due to the distance I'm sure and not a problem with the speaker,) so we plugged in our IPOD. This was good, but the batteries kept shifting and the speaker would turn off and we would have to reseat the batteries. We plug it into a power source when we don't feel like wrestling with our rechargeable batteries. Now we are trying to use this for our projector outdoors and we haven't been able to find an adaptor that is an "L" shape, so my husband had it laying on it's side. This really takes away from the appearance. I wish things plugged into the side and the batteries went into the top somehow so gravity wouldn't keep working against us, and I wish we were able to stand it up and use it with different adaptors. It sounds very good, and we like that it is weather resistant. We've had this for a couple of years, so maybe they have worked out some of these bugs.

I saw this in the store two months ago and couldn't stop thinking about it. The weather was 70+ today so I went and bought it. Mom and I enjoyed our afternoon tea outside on the deck listening to a CD of singing birds (we couldn't tell the difference between the real birds and what was coming through the speaker). Even the dogs head was going from side to side. Can't wait to get a CD with running water sounds so I don't have to set up the fountain on my deck. Thank you!

I've had my Zune player for well over a year and I haven't been able to find many accessories to use with it. Now this comes along and it's great! I can play all my music, podcasts and even FM radio all over the home and outdoors. I've seen others say the sound wasn't that good, however, mine sounds very good. I'm glad I found this product and I'm very pleased.

I work with a small Christian University and we purchased this speaker to help us in our presentations to donors and various public events. This is a great product in that it takes almost zero set-up time and we can place it in the middle of the room and everyone can hear it!
We are currently considering buying another one so we can work larger halls!
The sound quality is great and adapts well to different kinds of uses. We use it primarily when we show DVD's and presentations using a notbook computer and a projector. We just plug the transimitter into our notebook speaker jack and place the speaker in the center of the room. The 360 degree design allows for all of our guests to hear clearly our presentations. It is unobtrusive and everyone is amazed at the sound!
So far, our experience has been that the range of the unit has exceeded our expectations and we have never suffered from any kind of interference or fading during a presentation.
I have no problem in recommending this product to anyone.
We have been using this speaker for about two months. It was easy to set up and the sound is great. We take it from the back porch to the front porch to the side porch, where ever we happen to want to listen to the music. Very good product.
i love the sound that this wireless speaker produces i was very surprised by the sound and it has a very nice design to it i love the way it looks when the built in lights are turned on i plan on buying another one soon.

This speaker was a given as a gift to a dear friend for his 60th birthday. He said "you give the coolest gifts!". I like this unit a lot. I hooked up my iPod to a Griffin Air Dock and then the dock to the Brookstone "egg's" wireless transmitter and bingo, I've got iPod music anywhere around the house or outside; NOTE: With an RF remote, the Griffin dock allows me to control the iPod remotely from any room in the house. I like the speaker as it's just enough loudness to play my tunes in any room, but not too loud either. Portable with batteries, it could be a bit louder for outdoor applications.

I think the speaker is great! Some reviews complain about limited volume. To overcome that, I plug it into the headphone outlet instead of the audio out and turn up the amplifier volume.

I bought this product for our house for a couple of different reasons. First, to connect to our stereo to be able to listen to music while on the deck or in the pool, instead of carrying out the portable (cheap) radio. And for when my husband is working in his workshop, he can listen to his cd's without blasting out the rest of the house. It has fulfilled both of these tasks. And the light makes for a cool atmosphere for parties!

We cannot connect it to any of the stereos in the house ( according to my husband). I will have someone else check it out before I need to return it. I think it can be connected, someone just didn't want to take the time to do it properly. Other than that it's wonderful, it's small, it's weatherproof

I bought this speaker a year ago, for my husband. He saw it at a friend's house, and his friend raved about it. We've had ours for a year now, and we've really enjoyed using it! It's not tiny, but a good, compact size. And it's SO PORTABLE...we take it outside when we BBQ, we bring it to the kitchen when we're cooking, sometimes we leave it in our media room because it's so easy to hook our iPod up to it (we don't have everything set up in our media room to "accept" iPod usage yet). It's something we use almost daily; I loved it so much, I just bought it as a Xmas present for another good friend...who so far, loves it too.

decent bass output, but the tweeter is very distorted, even at very low volume. Spotty clarity when only moved about 60 feet from the audio source. Not happy with the sound quality.

I got this as a gift for my brother to use by his pool (outdoors). I checked out all competitive systems and, though this was on the high end on price, the sound quality and power of the speakers was so much better than the others, I "opted" to get the better quality speakers.

I purchased the product for use on our outside lanai by the hot tub. The music source is a Polk Audio i-Sonic system with XM radio. The speaker works OK, and the sound quality is fine, but there just isn't enough volume from the device itself. I have the transmitter plugged into the auxilliary speaker connection on the Polk, and since it doesn't have a separate fader control, to make the outdoor speaker loud enough I have to put the volume in the inside unit up to a point where it almost rattles the windows. It works better with an Ipod, since I can crank up the ipod volume.

It is now winter in Maryland but we plan to use this outside as soon as we can. It's been GREAT for use inside already. We play my iPod thru the stereo and have the wireless speaker set up either in the kitchen or in the basement (wherever we happen to be).. Great sound quality and good range!

look I was not ready to invest in a large entertainment system and my tv was not putting out the sound i needed. This little guy provides great quality sound and allows me to listen to music all over the yard while I am playing horse shoes and doing yard work. Glad I purchased this until I am ready for a crzy sound system. It will work perfect by my new pool though. thanks

The product is very easy to use, but I feel the range even @ 20 ft still has alot of static and fades in & out. It really is only good to use with and Ipod.
Very well made and attractive design.
Would definitely recommend this as an auxilary speaker for patio or porch or to carry to a remote room. Has an excellent sound.

I was looking forward to liking this speaker. It looks pretty cool and looks like the perfect fit for any area in or outside of the house that speaker wires are not practical. So I bought one. Then the fun began. The first speaker sounded terrible and only worked for about a week. I would have taken it back right away but the store we too far. The second speaker sounded much better than the first. I was happy with the sound however the reception was spotty. It worked only sometimes even though it was only about 18 feet away from the base. I am going to return it this weekend. I do not know if there are better speakers but these do not work as advertised.

This is a great product! We have tried other wireless speakers and returned them. This works great all around the house and out into the yard.
Although the speaker is not inexpensive, it is money well spent. The speaker is capable of filling my backyard with quality sounding music. Especially like to use it with my IPOD.

This is a great device, that I've been using with my ipod... My ipod sits in my office while I'm listening to the radio outside. The quality of the sound is great, and it is the center piece of discussions and talk at my outdoor cookouts and just leasure life.
