Nice design for a small space. Very satisfied with size and look of unit. Easy to set up and use. I'm using it in my bathroom. The speakers aren't the greatest. I don't play my music loud and there's not enough base. Item is a little high priced for lack of sound quality.

Enjoyed this so much we purchased one as gift for use in a spa bath area. Its compact design allows for wall hanging or sitting on small shelf; remote works well. It's a great little toy!

This piece fits perfectly on my kitchen counter. It has great sound and is user friendly. I like upgrading to a system with a remote control. One small issue is inserting the CD because it is upright and not flat. Aside from that, I am happy it was advertised on the website! Great price too.

For a long time I've been looking for a simple radio/CD player that would let me listen to FM radio in the "hollow" where I live. Unlike my other radios, this system picks it up perfectly. Thanks, Brookstone.

The unit is worth what I paid for it with one exception. I did expect more base sound since this is such a common feature. Due to the lack of this feature I would describe this unit as a medium priced table radio.

I bought this CD System for my husband to use at work. His work space/cubicle is small with limited counter/desk space so he needed something compact. This system works perfectly. He's received a lot of compliments on it's sleek appearance and he said the sound is comparable to more expensive systems. He loves it and highly recommends it. He's raved about it so much that he's convinced me to order one for my office.

This product is used on a regular basis every day. We utilize the repeat feature for CD's. AFter a little over one year of regular use the feature does not work anymore and the CD stops repeating and unit goes off. WE tried the radio function and same thing the unit turns off and does not stay on. [...] only has a 1 year Limted Warranty and I am stuck with a radio that no longer works as we need it. No good.

We live in a very small condominium and did not have the space for a home stereo system. We installed this unit on our living room wall. It sounds great, gets many radio stations and the CD player is wonderful. The remote is great and easy to use, too! We love it so much we are purchasing another one for the nursary!

No mp3's -- might as well be 8-track
By John likes to listen from Kansas City, MO on 8/8/2007
Pros:
Attractive Design, Clear sound, Compact
Cons:
Difficult To Set Up, Not Durable, Obsolete - no mp3's
Describe Yourself:
Practical, Technically Challenged
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Received this as a gift for my office. Although I am technically challenged, even I have long since converted my cd's into mp3's. When I explained to my 60-year-old parents why I needed the receipt so I could return this, even they said they assumed all cd players nowadays played mp3's. And they're 60! Brookstone, get with the late 90's (let alone 2000's)! Other cons - "shelf" system only fits on really tall shelfs due to door mechanism going up. Said door feels flimsy and cheap overall.
