Its good for traveling and for extra support while reading on the bed. However, it's best to have a pillow cover over the pillow because its hard to clean the pillow (machine wash is not possible).

I have used this pillow for sleeping for 3 years now. It has made a world of difference with my sore neck and back. The size makes it convenient to travel with...good thing since I can't sleep without it.
I don't have a problem with keeping it clean because I've made pillow cases for it.
