Hair will bunch up in the guide causing it to not perform properly. You have to take the guide off and empty out the hair that has gotten stuck in the guide and start over. This makes things frustrating for me.

I bought this for my fiance this year for Valentine's Day. He loves gadgets and this one has quickly become his new favorite. The last one he bought was also from Brookstone, which he'd had for several years; replacing it with a new one from the same place was a no-brainer. His primary use was to trim his mustache and beard a few times a week, but now he's started using it to trim his hair between haircuts -- he is very pleased with its many features. Which means I made a good decision by purchasing it.

I use it every day to trim my beard. One of the features it has that my other trimmer didn't have was the ability to lock in a setting without accidently changing the setting while in the process of shaving.

I found it hard to clean the hair from between the blades and the attachment. The brush sent with the clippers was not good enough to remove the hair.
