This pillowcase is designed only to fit the odd-shaped Sona pillow. It does do that, more or less, but it is hard to put on the pillow. And the zipper on my first one was rough to open and close from the start, and eventually jumped its tracks and could not be repaired. I've ordered two more as replacements.

Replace original cover. This one does not have the straps on in to keep your arm tucked, but still works great.

Caution must be taken when drying the pillow covers. High or medium heat will melt the zipper.

used this pillow case for my sona pillow. it was nice having an extra pillow case so i didnt have to wait for the washer and dryer to be done i would just put the clean one on.

I USE THE PILLOW EVERY NITE. I AM GETTING THE BEST NITES SLEEP IN YEARS. THE SNOORING HAS ALMOST STOPED. EVEN IF YOU DON'T SNOOR THIS IS THE BEST PILLOW I HAVE EVER OWNED.

I purchased the Sona pillow two years ago and love it. The orignal case was OK but the new one just purchased is great. Thread count is better. Comes out of dryer ready for the pillow. I rate this case a 10.

A regular pillow case will not fit this pillow, so if you have designer bedding the pillow case will not match. But that is not really an issue with me, although it is for the spouse. You may want to keep this pillow in the closet when company comes.

I am so glad that a pillowcase was included because of the odd shape and I believe that the pillow would not work right if the pillowcase did not fit.

The sona pillow has cured my husbands snoring problems... therefore, we use the piillow every night. An extra pillow case is good to have for when you wash the case that it came with.

I like that the pillow case fits the contour of the pillow exactly, but I wish the pillow case was designed a little larger and a bit more roomy because I feel like I'm squeezing the pillow into the case.

You definitely need this product since the pillow case that comes with the Sona pillow needs to be laundered and you can use this one in it's place. You won't find another pillow case in this particular shape to fit the Sona pillow. This one fits well.

The pillowcae for the Sona Pillow is comfortable. It's not scratchy. I like it, but because it form fits the Sona Pillow, it can't be used for any oher pillow. Still, if you get the Sona Pillow, pick up an extra one or two in case it wears out or accidents.

For an apnea-prone sleeper like me, Sona pillow offer a great night's sleep (no snoring dry-out) PROVIDED:
- you stay on the pillow's "sweet spot"
- you don't mess up your head angle by using another pillow underneath
Brookstone's initial Sona pillow case (supplied with pillow or separately) had no arm straps on underside; newer ones have two (one for each face direction). This strap (same fabric as the rest of the pillowcase, NOT very evident from outside the package) is important to STAYING on the pillow as you go through a night's sleep. By keeping your "underside" arm or wrist through this fabric flat loop, the Sona pillow stay with you as you change sleep positions/locations throughout the night to KEEP your head at the right place on the pillow to be effective. Without the arm loop, your head rolls off the "sweet spot" and your head angle's then no different than any other pillow as you move to the extreme edges of the Sona pillow. MAKE SURE YOUR SONA PILLOWCASE HAS THESE FABRIC ARM LOOPS. ONLY ON THE NEWER INVENTORY.
The Sona pillow offers a GREAT deal of head support for side-sleepers WITHOUT being excessively Firm.
Do NOT put another pillow underneath the Sona pillow. First, your head may then be at the wrong angle for any breathing (anti-snoring) benefit. Second, more importantly, your neck may then be in an unnoticeable but awkward angle. You'll wake with a sore neck and shoulders.
Wish list:
1. for people with oily complexions (or women with cosmetics), availability of an optional sateen or silk inner pillowcase, like for regular shaped pillows.
2. for travelers, a durable fabric carry bag; the transparent display bag the Sona pillow comes in does not withstand repeated openings and closures, nor colder storage temps in a car trunk. Plus, with the weird shape of the Sona pillow and the transparent carry bag, I sick of explaining about it. (Just tell them you're a dentist and it's your tooth hygeine demonstation model for kids. Trust me: it's easier.)

It's helpful to have a spare pillow case for such an unusually shaped pillow. If you need the pillow, you need the extra pillow case.

Too hard to put on pillow, but I finally managed...probably lost a couple of pounds in the process I think if the zipper went a bit farther around the end, it would be easier to put on. Also, some picture instructions would help to get all the bumps in the right places. The quality of the case and zipper is good and I love the smooth case on my face.

You need extra pillowcase for your sona pillow case so you don't have to spend a night without it!!!
