Night light coaster turns on with just a wave of your hand—then turns off automatically after 30 seconds. The soft, ambient LED light makes it easy to find what you’re looking for and navigate safely in the dark without disturbing others, while the 30-second auto shutoff makes it easy to fall back asleep again. Use the water-resistant, rimmed unit as a coaster and watch the light shine gently through your glass of water, or use it to hold other personal items like glasses. Very reliable. It turns on right when it senses movement. Light is not glaring in the middle of the night. Perfect night light for not just adults but kids as well. Love it.

I have certain illnesses that often require me either to wake up and look for medications or other things on my night stand or get up and come in or out of the bedroom this exudes a light that is just enough to let me find my way in the dark but isn't so bright as to wake myself or others by needing to move about so much or stimulate the mind with bright light. It has a motion detector that reaches across the room or close up. So no need to fumble for a switch in the dark. It's sensitive too so you don't have to wonder if it will work. I'm glad to have a motion device that I don't have to sit and wave at just to get it to work. It's done what it was supposed to do and I've not had any problems with it. When I first was considering to buy it I worried about it going off all night but if it has gone off I haven't noticed or been disturbed. It's easy to set up, use, and does exsactly what's promiced. The price is also more than fair for what you are getting!

I always have a glass of water by my bed at night. This clever device lights-up as I reach for the glass. I take a drink then put the glass back down on the illuminated coaster and go right back to sleep. The blue color and light intensity is just right so I dont have to squint. This is a very practical item that I use nightly. I haven't seen anything like it. Great idea. Thanks Brookstone!

I like that it turns on when I enter a room, and is bright enough for me to see it from across the room even when I don't have my glasses on. It still works even when there is sunlight coming in through my closed blinds. Great for when I'm bringing in the morning coffee and am only partially awake.

I no longer have to search for a lamp to find my eyeglasses at night - I just reach towards my bedside and it illuminates. The shape is perfect to rest my eyeglasses. This motion light is easy to use and I find it helpful when answering the phone. The blue light also helps me find my bearrings when I am walking around in my dark room. The quality of light does not hurt my eyes like my lamp when I use it in the middle of the night. This is a very helpful product.
