I loved this thing... right up to the day that it broke. It broke the same way as other reviews that I've read: one day, it turned itself on, but would not turn off. The controller stopped recognizing button presses, so it wouldn't play, pause, or skip songs. To make matters worse, it no longer changes volume, so it's stuck in its currently-too-quiet state. I essentially can't use it anymore. This is pretty expensive item to just fail this quickly! I plan to call customer service to see if they'll still repair it, due to obvious manufacturing problems. If not, expect to find this identical review posted elsewhere![$] down the drain!!!

We purchased this product to eliminate a bathroom counter top dock for my husbands IPOD. It definitely met the need.

Product received as gift for Father's Day. Used once a week in shower. For some reason, LED light came on during middle of night last night (11/13/08). Light remains on unless batteries removed. Same when fresh batteries inserted. Front buttons have no effect on controlling iPod. Of course warranty only good for 90 days and product functioned 150 days. Not happy with product at all. Advise you only purchase item if you also get extended warranty otherwise money wasted.

I got this product as a birthday present for my son and he loves it so much that he told his best friend about it, whose mom went out and got him one.
He keeps it in his shower always, removing it only when cleaning. It has encouraged him to explore music to the point that he religiously downloads new music at least once a day, which can then be heard during his showers. I couldn't have found a more prefect or appropriate gift for him. Now my only problem is figuring out what to get him for Christmas.

Easily connects to all types of iPods, including iPod Shuffle. Good volume, easy to choose songs.

I love my ipod and this really adds another element of fun to it. I love having it play while I'm in the shower. And it's terrific in our humid Florida environment!

I am all about having my music where I am and this is great for that! I get to listen my ipod in the shower and not worry about getting it wet when I skip a song or turn it up. It's great!

My daughter is THRILLED with this product. She had asked for the one her brother had for her birthday from another retailer which is not made any longer. Now, her brother wants this one for his next birthday because he says this one is a step up!

My son used to drag his boombox into the bathroom when he took a shower, despite risk of electrical shock. Now, after receiving this for Christmas, I can still hear him singing at the top of his lungs, but I know that he is safe!

The iHome Shower Station is great. I bought it as a Christmas gift for my sister because she's always bringing the laptop into the bathroom to listen to her music (unsafe). Originally only intended for the bathroom, the product has become a regular attendee in every room of the house! Even I've used it a few times. The only thing I could find displeasing about it, is that its front control buttons only allow you to play the ipod in either shuffle or a straight line up of one artist. That however can be worked around by the simple creation of a playlist.

I use it everyday to help we wake up for school. I love listening to my music in the shower so I don't only have to hear myself sing. It has very good sound quality and even though it feels flimsy when you get it, it works fine and is very durable. I do think it was a little overpriced but not too expensive to not get it. Overall, I would definitly reccomend it.

My husband and I LOVE this thing!! I bought it as a Christmas gift for him...he loves taking long, hot showers at night. And the loves his ipod!! Normally, when we want to hear music in the shower we turn on the radio or ihome and turn it up loud. But with the way our master room/bathroom is designed, there is no door. So, the person out watching tv has turn up the volume even LOUDER!! I bought this for him, but I am loving it too! The speakers are clear and the sound is great. Best thing I have gotten for the ipod yet!!!! :)

The product works best in the shower with you. If put outside on counter-cannot hear with shower doors closed. So far-keeps the moisture out of ipod

My teen boys use this in the shower and are very happy with it. They drop it from time to time yet it holds up great. They like the ability to control the ipod without opening the unit.

There isn't a large variety of Ipod shower players, so the choices are limited. The nice thing about the shower station is that you can view the actual Ipod so you can view your songs. There are a few cons. For example, if the volume is too high, the shower station begins to rhythmically lower then raise the volume. Not good. Also, you can't control the Ipod as much. The only options you have are to proceed to the next song, pause, or adjust the volume. You can't choose a seperate playlist. Overall, I would rate the station slightly above average seeing that its a scarce item.

This was a Christmas gift to my daughter, now my son has to have one. He is the electronics expert and had to give it the trial run; his report is that is is better than you think it will be. He wants it.

I really loved mine. It was easy to use and set up. The only thing I wish it had was a way to change the volume without having to take the IPOD out. Other than that, I would say it's highly recommended!

the sound was really good. I was pleasantly surprised. However it jsut stopped playing and we thought it was broke after one use. However later on it worked. Not sure what happened. HAve not tried to reuse it again.

This is a great product and hard to find elsewhere. The only drawback is that you can't use it if you have a cover on your Ipod.
