I loved it so much I bought one for my wife. We both travel about 45 weeks out of the year and are always on the go. Our iPhones are our connection to work, life, and each other. Anyone who has an iPhone knows how easy it is to run down the battery with all sorts of apps, music, and movies. This charger/stand is great as an additional battery for when I'm in an airport with no wall outlet or on a plane. Usually in less than an hour (a short flight) I can leave my iPhone plugged in and charging in this so when I get off the plane it's back at 100%. It can usually charge the phone 1.5 to 2 times before it needs to be fully charged again.

I was given this as a gift the day before a flight, and was excited, thinking it might be nice to have as a backup, since my battery life on my iPhone 3G has been fading fast. I had no idea how helpful it would turn out to be.

There were storms in the Midwest, so we had a 3-hour delay at our home airport, and missed our connection in Chicago. We were stuck for 6 hours there, and because of the storms, tons of flights had been delayed, so the airport was packed -- and it seemed like every outlet was taken. I needed to talk to the airline to re-book, and noticed my battery was in the red. I started looking around for an open outlet, and found none.

Then I remembered that I had this in my bag, so I pulled it out, and started charging my phone. It was great to be able to talk without worrying about my phone dying, and I couldn't believe how fast it got my phone back to a full charge. If you've got a long day on an airplane, and might not have time to charge your phone -- or might have a hard time finding an outlet -- this rechargeable power stand is a lifesaver.

I travel often and overseas once or twice per year. It's great when you forget to charge your iPod or as a back up battery. The only drawback for me is that you cannot use headphones while your ipod is docked. So, while traveling you will need to make sure you have enough battery before you start a movie or book on tape.

Regarding other comments, since the ipod/iphone headset connector is on the top of the ipod and this charges through the bottom, you can use headsets.

It is great for travel, and even my office - I like to have the phone propped up so I can easily see who is calling. I love using this with conference calls for work.

I purchased in an airport. This device is a lifesaver. Now I charge the iPhone and this device every day, and carry it in my briefcase. Will also charge off a standard motorola style car charger too. I'm now never without power to my iPhone. And within 20 minutes, I have a full charge to the iPhone with more battery charge left in the device. Amazing!

I have an iPod Touch and it works great for me. I bring it to work. It charges pretty quick. There's sound on the iPod Touch so if I needed to listen to it I can until charged and then use the earphones if I wanted. At work I check email a lot and go on the internet and FB. So the listening thing hasn't been an issue for me. So I'm loving this item.

This connects to the bottom of my iphone and the earphone jack is at the top, so I'm not sure that everyone else is talking about... maybe the itouch is different but I freakin love this thing and I've tried 4 external battery packs now.

For the people that complain that is does not work with the Touch, the description never said it did! Apple Iphones and touch have their headphone jacks in opposite places.
