1st of all, there are 2-way privacy screen protectors and 4-way. The difference is 2-way only protect people beside you from seeing your screen, 4 way protects you from all 4 directions.
Brookstone claim to have Horizontal and Vertical, but it only have horizontal privacy, if people look at your phone from the top (i.e. they stand towards you face to face) they can still see things on your screen. This is a problem for example, if you have to use your phone on a subway train.
Other than that, this protector is thin and transparacy is good compare to two other privacy filters I used on my iPone 4S.

I was very careful not to touch the adhering side of screen cover. I've changed screen covers often on my phone so I know this will keep it from adhering properly. It was easy to apply in contrast to the regular protective covers I've applied in the past. It went on smoothly with no bubbles except where 2 out of 4 corners have not adhered well. I do think I will enjoy the privacy the screen provides but wouldn't spend as much in the future due to the adherence issue.

I found out about this product through one of my friends who got this as a Christmas Gift. I was definitely intrigued by how you could not see what he was doing/reading on his Iphone! I ordered myself one and I have not regretted it! I've had people come up to me asking why my screen was black from when they looked at it.. it works perfectly! I have seen a few of my other friends buy the same kind of technology, and there's does not work as well as this one from Brookstone does. I highly suggest it.
