The iDM12 is an innovative Bluetooth® speaker system with a removable iPad® stand and a built-in lithium-ion rechargeable battery. I took a chance and purchased this item without checking reviews. It's perfect, great bass. It's not a boombox, of course. But, it adds much better volume and bass than my iPad speakers. I took this speaker with me on vacation and used alongside a pool and my sister loved it so much , she asked me to buy one for her for Christmas. It didn't disrupt other guests and was enough for us and anyone near to enjoy our music. I also used it to watch movies in my room and everyone else was able to hear and enjoy the sound. Could use a change in design with a better stand for the speaker. It is lightweight and tends to shift around a little.
