This is the best little travel speaker I've ever encountered. I use it in different rooms in the house, too. The sound quality is very good, and it pops up for bass heavy sound. The added benefit of the FM radio is a plus. I buy these speakers for everybody as gifts. I have purchased a total of 5 as gifts so far.

Great for dinner music in smaller dining room.Can be easily set up in a small inconspicuous area of room and provides a BIG sound. FM receiver works well.Looks more expensive than actual cost. Wonderful little invention!!

The sound quality of these little mini pop ups are quite nice! They are easy to pack and take along with any laptop bag or accessory bag for the iPad or iPod/iPhone.As for engineering, I would not have passed this design for production. The on/off switch seems backwards to me. The volume control is on the opposite side of the off switch, making it difficult to find in the dark. Watch out for the blue charging led, it's BRIGHT! But these issues are just personal opinions.After purchasing the product, I was very disappointed to learn you cannot replace the batteries. Once they no longer hold a charge, Brookstone advises me to throw them away. [$] for disposable speakers? That seems pretty high to me. If I could replace the battery, I would recommend to a friend.The other issue is with charging. You can listen through the speaker while charging, however you can only listen to 1. The other speaker cannot be connected because it uses the same port as the charging port.Cheaper products allow for both speakers to play while charging and allows for battery replacement without the use of a soldering iron. Overall, nice sound, but overpriced for a disposable speaker set that can't use both speakers while charging and can only hold a 2 hour charge.I don't regret my purchase, I do enjoy them. My point is they could have been much better engineered and better priced.

I really like these compact speakers. I use them to listen to music and other media on my smart phone. For the size the sound is great. I only wish it had a little more volume when using in my car. Also, the FM Tuner only receives the strongest stations in the area & you can't see what you're selecting, but for the price it is an extra bonus, & the sound is great. I purchased 4 for presents, and I'm purchasing 2 more for Christmas!

I use it with my portable dvd player everyday at lunch time.Now enjoy almost surround sound where ever you take your portable device. This little sucker has power.

I originally bought the stand alone speaker when it first came out and used it every where until I left it in a hotel room in Spain two weeks ago today (23June2011). I went into my local Brookstone looking for a replacement, saw these, and fell in love. They sound fantastic and I love how I can put the speakers on the metal wall-mounted cabinets above my cubical. The FM tuner has great reception to boot.
