My little roller bag broke on my last trip, so I picked this up at Brookstone in the airport. It's a nice size, is well-organized, and lightweight. The longer handle fabric handles make it easy to pick up when traversing stairs, or going through the subway turnstile. Sounds good, right? But I would not buy it again, and here's why. The telescoping handle only locks in the fully-extended position, which would be fine if one is tall, but I am only 5"4" and the handle is too high, making it uncomfortable to use. I could even deal with that given that it has four wheels, so should maneuver easily, but it does not! On the contrary, the wheels seem to pull the bag badly to other trajectories besides "forward." Combine this with the handle height, and by the end of the first trip my arm was aching. Having to put pressure against the handle to keep the back rolling in a straight line was the reason. I now simply pull the bag behind me as if it's a two-wheeled bag, not a four-wheeled back. That is unfortunately since I work in a very busy location (Times Square, NY) where pulling a bag behind you frequently trips up other people.
Bottom line, I wanted to love it, but I don't, and will probably look for something else to replace it.
Regarding the purchasing experience, the sales person in the store did not know there was a laptop compartment in this bag, which I found shocking, but he was kind enough to offer to dispose of my old back once I'd purchase this one at the store and transferred my belongings into it.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
