This throw blanket is definitely soft and is a good size for putting over a sofa. However, I was extremely disappointed to discover that it sheds. After sitting on it with dark-colored pants and a dark-colored sweater for only a couple of minutes, I found "white hairs" from the throw all over my pants and sweater - and they were difficult to remove. I can't be vacuuming every time someone sits on my sofa to get rid of the tiny hairs. So, sadly, I had to return this item.

      I love my blankie ,I had bought one years ago it was one of the cheaper ones ,so glad I decided to spend the extra and get two of them. Bought the other one for a gift down the road ,don't think I could give the other one away .soooo soft and comfortable ..don't know if I could give my spare up too the grandchildren there going to love it !
