Just received this as a gift & I LOVE IT. I get migraines all the time & this is heaven-sent! It took a bit of getting used to because it IS a tad strong in the beginning, but ooooh, it's wonderful. I love the music setting (not sure why folks can't figure out how to turn it off; it's in the manual; just press & hold the button). I love that I can just have a quick 5 min massage or a 10 or 15 min massage. Also not sure why it says you must limit it to 15 mins at a time because I would certainly use it longer than that, but I've followed those instructions so far. It REALLY helps me to relax, especially when I turn off the lights, TV, etc & just concentrate on the light music of the device & let it work its magic.
True, it IS RATHER expensive (ok, yes, overpriced), but for someone like me that SUFFERS from BAD headaches ALL THE TIME, it very quickly becomes worth the money (and if you're giving it as a gift, it'll be well worth your money). Thank you Brookstone for thinking of us headache sufferers! :)

The idea sounds fantastic, but the product delivers an 'okay' experience in my opinion. If it were priced at $50, I would say go for it. As I recommended in a different review, the I-Need Neck & Shoulder Massager IS a great product that feels very good and it is [$]. I would recommend spending your money on that device rather than this one. Also, the vibrating part in the top of the 'helmet' hurt my head somewhat because it has cleet-like structures that dig into your scalp. It actually left a dent in my head near my crown that took a hour or so to go away. Anyway, not a horrible product, just not a [$]one.

Can be used by the chronic headache sufferer, or for mere relaxation. Can be used in place of medication for tension headaches. Does make creaking noises, as mentioned by others, but is well worth the investment!!

This product has helped me through my sinus headaches a lot. I encourage everyone to read the manual since it can do more than the preset settings. You can even turn the music off if you like. I love how it's portable and I do take it everywhere I travel. I use rechargeable batteries and I'm surprised how long it would last considering how often I use this product.

This massager is great when all else fails (no spouse to massage). I don't care for the vibrate mode as it does not feel soothing (rattles the brains!) but the pressure feature is nice especially for sinus type headaches so I like the ability of being able to select one or the other rather than a combination. I've seen comments regarding the music. I'm very hard of hearing and don't hear any type of music so not an issue for me but I would say that it seems a bit overkill. If I want to hear music I'd want to hear my own selections so that feature, whether I could hear it or not, is lost on me. For the price I basically got something that can squeeze my head and so probably not worth the money overall but like I said, it's better than nothing when you're looking for relief!

As a Chiropractor many of my patients stress about not having any alternatives for headaches when they are unable to get in my office for treatment. This product works great for tension headaches especially those with "bands" on the side of the head. My wife has occipital neuralgia, and this product can take away the head pain she has with the neuralgia. It is amazing! It takes a bit to get the right fit, and the right program, but when this is accomplished, it works great! It took all her head pain away!! I am absolutely thrilled it works! It's lousy when you have a headache all the time and can't get rid of it.This product really works!!! If you are not sure, go to a store near you and try it!!
