This product would get a 5 star except that the band holding it to the head is not adjustable.
I don't heat or freeze the gel just use it as it is with the satin side close to my face.
I find that it really blocks out the light better than any other sleep mask I've used. The gel conforms to the face with a nudge here or there and totally blocks out the light.
I also find it's superior because the gel doesn't get overly hot and make me sweat. It feels cool and stays comfortable to the face.
Use it with the "Tranquil Moments Sleep Sound Machine" for total sensory deprivation.

The mask was very uncomfortable. I preffer cold used tea bags for something cold on the eyes. I also prefer a less expensive lighter, smother, adjustable eye mask to block out light.

I have blepharospasms and need a mask that adjusts to fit tightly to hold my eyelids down. It must not be too heavy across the nose It must be comfortable enough to wear all night.

This is a wonderful way to start your morning feeling refreshed and relaxed even if you had a rough night or suffer from sinus problems or puffy eyes in the morning.
The only drawback is if you really want to experience the best benefits you have to wake up early, puffy eyes and all, drag yourself out of bed and place it in the freezer for 15 minutes. Well worth it after you place it on your eyes and feel bright eyed and ready to face the day

I had the origanl n.a.p eyemask and loved it. My puppy chewed it up and I tried a few other cheaper versions and it was not the same. I am now even happier than before with the insert. It is amazing to heat up and use for sinus relief.

Love it! Just what I was looking for, for my eye aches. I have only used it for the warmth and found it very comfortable and soothing. My tap water didn't seem to be hot enough so I heated the water in a pan (but not to a boiling point). Then I took the pan off the stove and put the mask in for 5 minutes. It stayed warm for a much longer time.

I never thought I had a particularly large head but the mask is way too tight for comfort and it is not adjustable.
I have the older sleep mask with white noise generator which I love but its starting to wear out.
