Best Product of all Sleeve-Blankets

I tried several of the competitors' products before I purchased Brookstone's version of the Snuggie. I had a very specific wish list:

1. Lightweight;
2. Long enough to double over under my feet OR a foot pocket;
3. Wide enough to tuck in around me;
4. Extra blanket near the top;
5. Kangaroo pocket;
6. NO pilling;
7. Easy to wash and dry at home (i.e. won't weigh 20 lbs when wet) ; and
8. Somewhat attractive (you're never going to escape ridicule with this thing, but it should at least look pleasing to YOU).

Basically, I wanted a really large, lightweight blanket that had sleeves and a few other bells and whistles. These are the other products I tried:

1. Snuggie. My co-worker brought one to work, and I wore it. The Snuggie does not compare at all to any of the others. It's a typical poor-quality infomercial product that takes a good idea and cheapens it to death, resulting in an inferior product. It's basically made of felt (like pool table felt), it's very unattractive, and it doesn't feel as nice as the Comfy.

2. Slanket. This would be my ideal blanket but for the uncontrollable pilling. I purchased a red one as a gift and I tested it out first. I, and everything within a 15 ft. radius of me, was covered in red fluff, fuzz, and pills instantaneously. I used a fabric brush to clean up, but that is not something I would be willing to do every day. This blanket was superb in every other way. It had the foot pocket, kangaroo pocket, and was the most generously sized (width and length) of any of the others (including the Comfy). The material was a little thicker and fluffier than the Comfy, but it did not weigh more. Unfortunately, I would never buy this blanket because of the uncontrollable pilling. Perhaps someone less clean and more prone to hoarding could overlook that flaw.

3. Mariska Hargitay's Nuddle. I haven't seen one of these in person, but I did research it. Once I found out that it doesn't actually have sleeves, it just has arm holes, I was no longer interested. And it appears to be more of a throw than a blanket.

All in all, I have been so pleased with the Comfy that I even bought the king-sized NAP blanket for my bed. It does, however, have one flaw. The NAP products pill like crazy after the first wash. I experienced that with my king-sized blanket; because of my own neuroses, I spent one hour picking off all the pills (on both sides of the huge blanket). I have not tried washing any of my other NAP products since. I think that I'll attempt to dry clean them to see if that works better. On a positive note, since the NAP fabric is thinner and more tightly woven than the Slanket, its pills are not nearly as offensive.

All in all, the Comfy is an effortless product and so very versatile. To recap, these are the factors that convinced me to buy the Comfy and are also the reasons that I love it so much:

1. Lightweight;
2. Long enough to double over under my feet;
3. Wide enough to tuck in around me;
4. Extra blanket near the top; and
5. Pretty cute (but I'm a girl, and I have the pink one).
