The last one of these that I had was from Sharper Image and it broke down less than 1 year after I got it. This one works great now, but it feels really light so I'm worried that it won't last very long. Otherwise, it's a great product. Once you get used to this, there's really no other way to store your ties.

The big thing you should do before purchasing this is making sure it will fit your rod. When I received it I attempted to put it up but was not able to because my rod was to thick. Make sure you check the specs on this.

Purchased this for my husband - he had a similar one previously but it broke after about 6 years. Unfortunately, this did not fit around the rod in our custom closet system and had to be returned. Wish it could be modified to adjust to different rod diameters. Like the product overall....just doesn't fit.
