Unfortunately I am not sure how this got so many high reviews, the motor is too weak.! It is a great idea if the motor were stronger to turn the brush much faster. I am the type of person who will always look for the most effecient less labor intense way to do things and this unfortunately is not it.
I can clean my grill in half the time with a spray bottle of water and a wire brush.
It's even faster to turn the grill on and spray it with a grill cleaner just like you would your oven, then open the lid after 20 min and spray it down with a spray bottle of water and use the hand held wire brush, it's not that much work.
I own an infared grill which is more difficult to clean due to the design, but it cooks better than any grill on the market because it keeps all the juices in the meat or chicken you cook, making for an excellent BBQ.
You are better off attaching a wire brush wheel to your coordless drill strapping on your goggles and cleaning it so it looks new again rather than waste time with this weak motorized brush!
I hate to give anything a bad review but I honestly have to here.
Sorry Brookstone, beef that motor up to about 3 times the speed and you will have a crazy good brush and could charge three times the price for it and sell 10 times what you sell now!!!

This would be an ok product if it had a stronger motor and if the bristles were held together by metal instead of plastic. Not sure what the person who designed this was thinking buy putting plastic where it would be coming in contact with a hot grill.

Bristles fell off while using it the second time. Had to pick them out of the grill. To make matters worse, I was unable to get the screw off to save my 8 batteries that were wasted on this piece of junk.

This product works really well. One thing to remember if you live where the winters are cold is to bring it inside. We almost forgot and, if we had left it out, the water inside would have frozen and most likely rendered this item useless. So, don't keep it in the storage area of your grill during the winter!

This brush is not even a year old and the bristles have fallen right off. My poor husband had to hand pick them off the steak on Saturday so our guests wouldn't choke. Guess they need to tell you to buy replacement heads more often than next grilling season. Will plan to try the replacement heads and update review if works out.
