Intended to buy one for one of my daughters boy friends but when I got to the store and tried flying it, I decided to get one for my daughter as well so they could fly them together. Since I was having such fun at the store flying it, I decided to get one for myself and guarantee that I would get something for Christmas that I wanted. Since they were selling at a great price point for two (2) I ended up getting 4, one for home and one for the office as a stress release. I have since bought 4 more to use as last minute gifts in case I forgot anyone. I also bought the 2 year service plan since I knew that at some point I (or those for whom I bought them) would crash hard and need to fix or replace, which I have already done (with no questions asked). So far I have no complaints except that now I need to buy a battery charger because it eats those AA batteries pretty fast.

I would not buy this product again. I told the salesman at the store that these were for a 4 year old and a 13 yr. old. He said it would not be a problem. They were easy to fly and very durable. That I could easily bring it back if they broke it for any reason and get a new one with the extended warranty I purchased. I quickly found that none of this was true. They were not good for children. Very difficult to fly even for myself and my husband. They are very flimsy and easily broken. When I went to the store to exchange them they were completely out and the salesman was extremely rude! They said I would be put on a waiting list to receive new ones and he had no idea when that would be. He said no one else had any problems flying these and he didn't know what my problem was. Hmmm. Needless to say I will not be purchasing any more helicopters or anything else from any Brookstone store again.

To stop the fish flipping around like symptoms. Just press the button to take the spin out a couple of times(opposite direction it's spinning). Do that a couple of times it will return to normal.

This product is very nice, but unfortunately it cannot be used outside without the result of a helicopter-destroying crash. I had one of these and I used it outside, but the first time it hit the ground, it broke. I then had it replaced, and after only being used indoors, it works fine. This helicopter can fly very high and has smooth, sleek movements. This toy is fragile though, and probably shouldn't be given to young children (e.g. 7 or under)... Overall, this helicopter is great, and I definitely recommend buying it. (But consider buying the warranty with it in case it breaks!)

After my first copter broke after 12 flights I bought two more. The first 12 flights had powered crashes which brohe the model. If you are going to crash let go of the throttle. I already have 10 flights with fewer crashes and the copter is working great. It flys smoothly and responds nicely to your commands after it is trimmed.

This was great and very durable. Only bad thing is that it ha sa short battery life. I would still have it but I accidently drove it into a moving ceiling fan. The one thing it won't withstain.
