If you've been to a Chiropractor then you know what a percussion instument is. This is almost as strong. It has exellent penetrating power and and will loosen the tightest muscles. The only drawback is the start button placement on the handle. While holding the handle sometimes my hand slips over the button and shuts it off.

This is worth the money for a great item. The only design flaw is the location of the mode selector on the handle. Since it is a little heavy for me, I hold onto it higher on the handle and press the mode selector by mistake while using. Otherwise my husband has become a monster asking for a back massage!

My friend has Emphysema and gets trapped air in her lungs. This percussion massager really works to get the trapped air out. Being cordless really makes it easy to use anywhere she is, and it also charges really fast, so we don't have to worry about a dead battery. I also have a cat that likes it, so I put it on low and run it on his back...he loves it. This massager is the greatest!
