Years ago, I bought a percussive massager from Brookstone that I loved. I loaned it to a relative, never got it back, and then found that it had been discontinued. I've spent years trying to find one that could pound my sore muscles as hard as the old one. This massager is the one; in fact, it's actually better.The great thing about this model is that it focuses all its power into a small rubber head. This allows you to really home in on a specific muscle that's bothering you, instead of just "vibrating" a larger area. In fact, I actually think this model is more effective than the 2-headed one, because that one disperses the power into 2 heads. This massager is great for people who are chronically tense, and who enjoy things like really strong, deep tissue massages. It's not a gadget for gentle relaxation, but for pounding the knots out of sore muscles. It will actually vibrate your skin hard enough to make it itch. For that reason, it's not for everyone - something to keep in mind if you're buying it as a gift. But if you're like me and need to beat those sore shoulder muscles into submission, I can't recommend this product enough.

But the weird thing with it same display massagers in store are much stronger than i got I wonder if displays are diffretn than the actually sold ones to promote the product better than it self ?
I still recomend the product since i dont think you need that much power like the ones on display because these ones are way too much.

This product is strong, but with the one head it is hard to focus on massage spot. It's heavy and slides around. Would be better if it had two heads, would be more steady. If you have an easy to reach spot, it's good, you can you two hands to hold and put the pressure.

I am a physical therapist. I do a lot of manual therapy and I use my arms all day. I have used some smaller wand massagers to relax my shoulder and arm muscles. The Max blows them away. It is more powerful and gets much deeper. I'm very happy with it.

I bought this as a replacement for my "Panabrator" that I had for years and finally died. It's heavier than most massagers which is a little bit of a problem for me as I have repetitive stress injuries in my arms. However, the weight is what helps it get deep down into your muscles to work out the knots. It's the best on the market where so many other massagers are just too weak. I use it on my upper body, arms, legs and back.

I bought this massager for my husband to use to put his foot back in alignment and started using it myself on my back and neck. He has a fallen arch that gives him a lot of pain and this massager works the best we've found to put those bones back up in position. It is powerful but not overly aggressive. I enjoy it for massaging aching muscles in my neck and back. You do have to be careful not to get it "bouncing" or that is uncomfortable, but other than that, it's perfect!
