Manufactured in Switzerland at a facility that only makes combs, Mason Pearson combs are hand-made from the finest celluloid material in the world--the very same Italian celluloid used in designer costume jewelry, hair ornaments and eyewear, created with an internationally patented process that replicates natural tortoise shell.

For optimum smoothness, the teeth of each comb are literally cut one at a time on a special saw. Combs are tumbled in a polishing drum, then hand polished and buffed to remove all burrs, sharp edges and surface imperfections. Result: smooth, effortless combing and styling.
