This floor clock features a distinctive split bonnet pediment that crowns the clock and a hinged lower door with an elegant oval opening.
Antiqued dial features worn black Arabic numerals and minute and sweep seconds tracks. Corner ornaments are in antique golden brown with complementing ornaments in the moon arch. Serpentine hands are finished in black. The rotating moon disk features artwork by American Hudson River School artist, Thomas Cole: “The Hunter's Return – 1845” and “Home in the Woods – 1847.” The antique brushed brass pendulum bob is suspended on a wooden stick and coordinates with the antique brushed brass finished weight shells. Extra heavy seeded glass is used in the lower door and sides.
A lamp illuminates the interior of the cabinet, highlighting the weight shells and pendulum as well as the seeded glass. Removable fret-cut top side panels with glass allow for easy access to the movement. Oval pattern in panels complements oval opening in mid door. The multi-tiered base features a decorative cutout. Designed by Chris Bergelin. Cable-driven, Westminster chime Kieninger movement with automatic nighttime chime shut-off option. Lightly distressed finish in Hampton Cherry on select hardwoods and veneers. Adjustable levelers under each corner provide stability on uneven and carpeted floors.
Automatic nighttime chime shut-off option. Heirloom Record Certificate with capsule is included for recording your clocks ownership history for future generations. You will receive a free heirloom plate, engraved with name and date, by returning the enclosed request card to Howard Miller. The case is illuminated by an interior light.
