I bought this for my teenage daughter for Christmas, and it was the perfect gift! She loves using the kit, and it saves us both big $$ on manicures and pedicures at the salon (which don't last as long anyway). She will definitely be purchasing more colors. Maybe I will even get my own kit one day (hint, hint, Mother's Day!).

I was overjoyed to see this at Brookstone and bought it right away, but am now beginning to regret it. The lamp takes forever to cure your nails (2 full minutes, vs. 45 seconds in salons and with other at-home kits) and the polish that comes with the kit is a dull beige that looks awful. The package advertises 20 full applications, but you only get enough of the cleanser, remover and other accessories needed for application/removal to last 4-5 applications and removals. The lamp is HUGE, which makes storage difficult, and the polishes are $2 more than many other popular at-home UV/LED polish brands. All-in-all, I'm disappointed. Even at half-price, this wouldn't be worth the money.

Now that it's holiday season, I have to start paying attention to my pedicure for the cute cocktail dresses I plan on wearing. This kit is great. I love to do my nails at home. And I can do a set of gel nails 30 mins before the party or right before bed.
The first time was a little slow going. But with a little practice it's been a god send. Much cheaper than having it done at the salon.
