I purchased the old Brookstone mirror in pink and loved it. Its size and lighting power were unparalled. It would be great if this one were more compact (find it difficult to fit into purse) and came in a variety of colors like the old one. I do like the adjustable stand, and 3 AAA battery usage (the old model used special ones). Of course the Brookstone quality cannot be beat!

I would not recommend this item. It is heavier than it appears or needs to be. I purchased and packed it is for a 20 day trip and did not use it at all.

I've been searching a long time for a good travel makeup mirror. This one is a keeper. While it's not as bright as my electric "home" mirror, that's to be expected. However, it's the best and brightest battery operated mirror I've found. I like that it has both 1X and 10X mirrors, and the adjustable stand.

Willi use it for travel in spite of design issue. Have had other travel makeup mirrors and the 10x magnifier has always been in the bottom position when the mirror is unfolded which I prefer for putting on eye makeup.

I nearly returned it when it wouldn't light up with the usual brand-name AAA batteries we use. I tried several other AAA's and finally got it to work. We shall see when I actually take it to Europe this summer. The jury is still out for me until I see how it delivers in all those dimly lit hotel bathrooms. That's the reason I bought it (it's not only Europe but also the US that doesn't adequately light bathroom mirrors).
