I bought 2 of these keychain flashlights. One was for me. The other was a gift. The back cover of mine fell off just this week - about 2-1/2 months after purchase! Due to the back cover falling off, the battery fell out too. Don't know where this happened, as I didn't notice the problem until I pulled the keychain out of my purse to use it. I dumped my purse to search for the battery and back cover, but no luck. I bought these sometime in January 2012! I did nothing to cause it to fall apart. Just taking my keys in and out of my purse and using them on a daily basis. Very disappointing. I hope the one I gave as a gift didn't fall apart. I bought about 6 similar keychains from Brookstone years ago for my family - 4 of whom were teenagers then. The keychains didn't have a flashlight, but did have the removable rings. They held up for years. I am very disappointed in this product, especially since I NEED a keychain with removable rings AND a small flashlight.
