I am converting all of my deteriorating cassettes to MP3 although some were beyond converting. As is possible with software programs, this does not provide for enhancing fidelity nor filtering hum and hiss. I trashed my cassettes as I converted, not realizing until too late that I needed to substantially increase the volume because I could barely hear the songs I had recorded to my iPod.
