I got this iNeed Lumbar Massage Cushion as a Xmas gift from a fellow friend who appreciates a good massage as much as I do. Let me explain. I am 30 years old. My body tend to tense up. It doesn't help that I am the high-strung type, weight trains 4 days a week and have a fairly stressful job/life. I am always in need of a good massage. I have tried massage products. Nothing ever impressed me. So, to counter my tensions, I go to see an awesome deep tissue masseuse twice a month. Wish I could go more often, but it gets real expensive. In an ideal world, I'd get a massage every day. And now, this is possible. This massager is awesome. It's the perfect substitute for your in between massage days. It digs in pretty deep without being invasive. it rotates which kneads out your kinks - muscles sticking together - that cause you pain and tension. It doesn't so much vibrate which creates more of a numbing effect. Instead, it actually feels like fingers digging in. Since I get a lot of massages, let me give you a quick tip. When you hit something and it sort of slips over. That feels almost as if the machine had hit one of your bones. Now, if that's in fact not a bone, it should tell you that that is a knot. It feels a little odd initially to but that's the exact spot you have to knead on. Just adjust your position so the kneading can happen on that spot. Let it go until the pain starts to subside and the slippage you felt initially is becoming more rounded. That's when the knot has been untied. Another absolute great thing about this massager is its size. Portability aside, the size is actually great for a good massage. It's more concentrated. Think of it like this, if you have a masseuse working on you, she would only have a pair of hands and thus concentrating on just one part of your body. So this iNeed Lumbar Massager recreates that experience. It is small enough to be place anywhere on your body and target exactly where you need massage on. Just make sure you put some pressure on it to get more out of it. It is absolutely wonderful. I know I probably have more knots than most people, but with this little device I am sure I will be the most relaxed one in the room. Spend the [$] if you have pains and tension. You'll absolutely love it.

I have learned my lesson after purchasing 3 of them total. I purchased a 2yr warranty/keep my receipt in drawer/ exchange for a new one every few months... nothing the sales associate/mgr can do about it if under warranty... especially a 2year.
Might be cheezy but i have purchased many things from brookstone (luv the store) and thats it.

I wish that the cushion was softer when the massager was turned off. I was hoping for a cushion that I could use both on and off. The cushion is actually very uncomfortable when off bc the massagers are large and hurt my back and is stiff when turned off.

If you are looking for a product that actually massages your back and doesnt just vibrate then this is the product for you. I had terrible lower back pain and sitting down all day at work in my uncomfortable chair made matters worse. I checked online to find something that would offer relief and came across this great product. I strap this bad boy to my seat, plug it in and press the button and instant massaging at your dispense while working. I love it and it hits my major lower back problem areas. My co-workers love it so much i literally have to put it away and lock it up in my cabinet lol. Bottom line best "Massaging" product i have bought for my lower back. Would absolutely recommend to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
