For the price it is a good deal. The sound is very good for a wide range of music including opera, classical, country, and rock. I use the speaker on my back patio and the dock is in my bedroom about 25 feet away. Occasionally there is some static even though it is much closer than the 150 foot maximum range. Usually I can change the channel and get better reception, but that is awkward unless there are two people to do it. Other than that it's a great product.

I play in a duo www.s-cats.com and often there is a volume conflict between the front of the room near our PA speakers and the back of the room. Being wireless, you can hook the transmitter to the line out of your PA mixer and the receiver/speaker in the back of the room and use it to fill-in the sound that doesn't get back there so easily. It works great for that application. I didn't buy this on-line but at my local Brookstone retailer in the mall.

I have the dock between my cd player and stereo.I just connect the rca cable from the unit I want to use to the dock and ready to go.I used splitters on the rca hook-ups on the units so all speakers work.We liked the dock so much we bought a seperate dock for the computer and mp3 player that are in another room.I also have the docks plugged into an outlet adapter that has an on/off switch.

We got this for use around the house, and yard. We love to sit outside by the fire pit in the winter, or on the deck for grilling or enjoying the outdoors when the weather is warmer. We normally drag out the extension cords, CD Player/Radio, or sometimes a laptop to stream music, or listen to our favorite football teams. It can be a pain dragging all this out, or tripping over cords, or if there is a chance they may get wet. With this wireless speaker, all those worries are gone. We can hook to a laptop, iPod/iPhone/iPad, mp3 player, home TV or Stereo, etc, and it can stay indoors, while we enjoy the music or sounds. No worries about it getting wet either. My wife also loves it around the house, as she will plug in the base and start her music, and carry the speaker to whatever room she is in. She LOVES it. Can't wait to get out on the lake, and be able to beach the boat in our favorite cove, plug in the MPS or to the boat radio and carry the speaker to the beach area we relax around. I would say if you are in the market, DON'T hesitate to get this speaker, well worth the money spent.

We own this speaker and love it. I too wish mfrs would stop using the rubberized coating on their plastic products. Sure it looks and feels great while brand new, but it ultimately breaks down due to body oils transferred to the plastic. Try using 70% to 90% isopropyl alcohol on a clean cloth or paper towel. Patience is required as it will take awhile to dissolve the "rubber" coating. Additionally,it will only remove the sticky rubber, not the coating still sound. Under the coating is simply hard plastic.

Great sound but they need to redesign the "rubber handle". It can not be cleaned, gets very sticky. The retail store did not have any suggestions on what to do....the store display was just as bad as mine. If I walked into the store, picked it up, I would not buy it. Hope they fix the problem because it has amazing sound.

We own two. Great for outdoor entertaining. We keep one in the garage. Holds up great to rain. We have a very long living room - without having the turn the volume to the max on the TV, we keep a speaker on that side of living room.
