We needed to find some sort of stair carpeting to keep our dog from slipping on our wood stairs once we removed the old wall-to-wall (and stair) carpeting. I wanted something inexpensive, easy to keep clean and something that would help trap all the mud and dirt and dog hair that we were tracking into the house and that was making our steps look awful the day after vacuuming.

We looked at doing stair runner carpeting and searched online for other stair mats but these seemed the most functional and best price with a good range of colors. As it turns out, we chose well -- they fit the bill perfectly!

They're not the most decorative or plush thing we could have put down but the medium brown I chose to blend in with the wood stairs works -- they're just part of the steps and you don't really focus on them.

Given all that they are -- easy to put down, easy to vacuum, durable and relatively inexpensive, keeping us from tracking dirt and dog hair everywhere, and virtually maintenance free, never looking worse for the wear -- they are exactly what we needed!

One note: We haven't tacked them down yet because they don't seem to move around a lot -- we'll see, when we have kids we may tack them down for added safety.

They were just so easy to throw down on the stairs, and I haven't had to mess with them since. Thanks for a great product!

Our 13.5 year old Springer has been struggling with our plain wooden stairs for months due to hip/rear leg weakness. We have been searching, both online and locally, for a product that would provide traction on the steps without damaging the wood with adhesives, tacks, etc. These work like a charm. The dog is relieved to be able to follow us around, and we are no longer fearful of a dangerous fall. We tried a less-expensive product from another source that seemed very similar, but it was nowhere near as effective. Worth every penny.

I got these for my inside wood steps. My Shih Tzu was scared to go down the stairs and needed to be carried. I was looking for a stylish stair tread (not those braided ones) that was easy to clean. This is a great product and traps dirt easily. I just need to vaccum them and they're like new again. The best part is no more carrying my dog down the stairs :)

I have a very expensive indoor staircase with solid maple treads in the center of my home. The stairs are beautiful but unsafe because it is easy to slip on them. I wanted a very edited and sophisticated look that would mimic the appearance of sisal, be easy to install and clean, and give us good traction. I searched for hours on the internet and your treads were the ONLY product that fit my criteria. I LOVE them. They do not look like industrial/outdoor treads, and they give us traction while still allowing the beauty of the wood to show around them. The only slight drawback was that they move unless you use tread tape or small nails to anchor them.

Clean the bottom of shoes real well to keep indoor entryways clean and dry, and they stay in place well. Wish they were a little larger, though.

We just built a breezeway with four steps up into our home. We chose maple and to protect our investment purchased these treads. They catch dirt, look terrific and are just the right size. We secured them with double side carpet tape and it appears to be working well. These must be secured or they will slide around on the step slightly.
