What's great about this scanner is how many ways people are using it. Sure, tax forms, receipts and invoices... we expected that. But scanning in Christmas cards, report cards, old ticket stubs to concerts, baseball cards, baby footprints... the list just keeps on growing. Our scanner is kind of like the iPad tablet itself. I have a dedicated iPad for the kitchen that is used to store recipes, contacts, reciepts as you come in the door, copier if I need a copy of something, notepad, message board or to check weather as I walk out the door. The scanner is a nice stand and I can scan doctor receipts, or misc items that then auto syncs to icloud and then onto my computer upstairs that is attached to neat reciepts. I would have rated this higher but I to my surprise it does not charge my iPad. A big oops. I would have not bought if I thought I would have to take off to charge elsewhere. The other big oops that I did not see is the OCR to import cards into the contact list withought buying extra software. But the biggest thing is the charging unit...this will kill the sales in my opinion.

My daughter scans her notes for school and keeps them on her iPad so she doesn't have to carry thirty pounds of notebooks in her backpack. She has everything she needs on her iPad. She has some disabilities and this actually makes the iPad they gave her for school useful!

I found it is very easy to use and find the free app. I use it everyday, mostly for receipts and important tax documents. For an ipad scanner - I think it is the best. I like it much better than the doxy scanner.
