Comments about iConvert® Instant Photo Digitizer:
I have boxes of old family photos and watch TV and scan them into my computer. Even my 4 year old grandson can do it with supervision. This is so much easier than using the scanner on my printer. If I only had a few pictures then the printer/scanner would be fine, but I have a few thousand pictures.

Comments about iConvert® Instant Photo Digitizer:
I am thrilled with how great the pictures look when they are scanned. I also like that it has a USB that connects to my Mac like my Digital Camera so I can just pull the photos off my SD card.
The setup was a bit confusing because the instruction manual was not very clear. To change to 600dpi the circled i next to the power switch needs to be lit up (to do this push the power switch and it will toggle between 300 and 600).
I also recommend using a microfiber cloth on the pictures before feeding them through to make sure there are no dust particles on them and I had to spray both sides of the machine with a can of air every 30-40 pictures because the photos start to get stuck coming out and that will warp the scan. However I didn't use the recommended sleeve because I wanted the photos to come out very clear.
Overall this is a good little machine if you want to preserve your old photos quickly (and in high quality).

Comments about iConvert® Instant Photo Digitizer:
Instructions are poor other than basic "turn it on". Trying to get 600DPI took some trial & error but finally figured out that the power switch also acts as a toggle to go between 300 & 600DPI. Cleaning "swab" (at least I assume that's what it is) at first glance appeared to be a "key" for seating the memory card until I gave it some thought. Better instructions would make this a great product!

Comments about iConvert® Instant Photo Digitizer:
I completely agree with the person saying better instructions are needed. Cleaning materials are not identified and I think I might be missing a "cloth". I'm using it for old photos which do not scan with the original sepia tone I would like, so I have to edit in Photoshop. I have not yet tried it with modern color photos. It says you are "supposed" to use the plastic sleeve provided; however, it scans better without it. Also difficult to keep that plastic sleeve clean, and I don't know how to get more. I look forward to taking it when I visit relatives and being able to scan photos that they own so I can take them home with me!

Tested this scanner with an old 4x6 color photo. Scanned quickly. Opened the picture up in my pc and then printed it out. Scanned photo looked just as good as the original. I'm satisfied.

Comments about iConvert® Instant Photo Digitizer:
It needs better instructions. Manual speaks to cleaning using supplied materials, but no pictures and nothing in the box is identified as a cleaner. It is advertised as both 300 and 600 DPI, but no instructions on how to change to 600 from default. No switch is noted. No software is included and connecting to computer just gives access to the Scan disk.
